Vanilla is doing well. The albums first day sales are 8,305 units, which means it has the highest first day sales for a debut album by a rookie girl group from 2020-2021. And it's the third best selling debut album going off of first day sales for all 2021 rookie groups, surpassed only by two boy groups, Mirae and EPEX, the former of which has ex-X1 Dongpyo and the latter has another PDX101 finalist in the lineup.

And the music video reached 1,000,000 views in 5h40min

 

Had high hopes for this group but I'm really disappointed - this is the typical cringy K-POP style lyrics that only children can appreciate.

 

Han Chowon looks and sounds glorious!! Her high note was excellent and she has so much charisma in this MV. I really wish her all the success, she deserves it so much after having her Izone spot stolen from her!!

After the teasers left me pretty confused about the genre, Vanilla now reminds me most of (G-)Idle's Dumdi Dumdi xD It's not really my cup of tea, but not that kind of cutesy I really can't stand. And it's nice to see how much fun especially Yujeong and Nayoung are having while they perform. So watching them still makes the song fun

That being said, from the photos or the teasers, I had no impression of Sangah at all, she seemed very dull to me. Now I have seen the MV and she is great! o__o

Even if the song isn't really what I hoped for, watching them perform is great. They've got such massive smiles on their faces, I really wish them the best

 

Yujeong has the biggest, most infectious smile I've seen in k-pop, I think. I'm happy she can debut with such a cheerful concept because that smile really is special. And Huiyeon's dimples are amazing too.
