Realy happy for Jurina, she totally deserved this victory, especially in front of home crowd. Congrats!

 

I think the only challenge left for her would be to get the longest senbatsu streak! If I'm not mistaken, Kojima still holds that record, right?

I'm just really happy that Jurina got this. I don't mind if she drops to 2nd or 3rd next year, what matters is that she reached this spot at the right time, and right place.

Of course, congrats are in order for the new Queen of AKB!! Much, much deserved and long overdue. If it wasn't for the vote monster that was Sashhara Rino, this would have happened a couple years ago. Not surprised that I'm seeing words like ''smug'' and ''arrogant'' in regards to Jurina's demeanor last night. Like the man said, ''haters gonna hate''. I think she's more than deserving. She was put in such a tough position by the manner in which she entered the group. It's always tough, if not impossible, to live up to everyone's expectations, but that is all in the past. In the beautiful and wonderful constellation that is AKB, Jurina is now its brightest star. All hail the Queen.

Congratulations, Jurina! Save for the vote count, you have surpassed pretty much everyone in the group! I guess breaking Sasshi's record is the last thing left for her to do! Threeish years ago I estimated that she would win in this timespan and she did! Good luck I'll keep rooting for her.

She was exceptionally cool during her speech. She was grateful for the presence of AKB in the first place, respectful to her chair, to her group, which she called to share her victory with them... She left nothing for speculation, she covered every single base. She has been preparing for this for years and I'm glad she didn't make any mistake. But Jiji MC, you should have given her the mic back there D: She was asking for it!

I can't fault her for her smug little grin XD That's precisely what satisfaction looks like. More girls should be openly happy for their own success more often tbh. It might be annoying to some, to me it was endearing. She had been waiting for this and by God she will enjoy it! Good times XD

 

i think that kenny omega - kazuchika okada match really did light a fire within her


not giving up for years, noone is more derserving of winning this year sousenkyo than her, and with that numbers of vote, who can argue?

Congrats to Jurina for winning the Center Position in this year's Sousenkyo (and a 1-2 finish for SKE!!!)

I was expecting this to happen either this year or in a future Sousenkyo but it's good that it happened today (yesterday in Japan now).

Hope that the 53rd single title song really channels Jurina's spirit.
