Looks like we have a a few graphic design experts (or snobs, rather) in this thread. Just because you don't like it, doesn't mean it's necessarily bad.

I think the cover conveyed "bunch of things in this one" really well, it looks colorful and fun. Not everything needs to be simplistic, cool, or elegant.

 

I actually like the covers. It's really nice to have something different once in a while (at least in AKB releases).

 

Just for those ones who are wondering about those four tracks as to be announced. They are going to be the MVs from the Team Surprise's remaining tracks.

(btw, is that Matsui Rena wearing Everyday, Kachuusha sailor seifuku costume?)

As for Miruki, she is in the outfit from that Dog Poo song PV of team B.
The one with brown sweater is Sayanee, wearing So Long! outfit.
Red hat+Pale mini dress is Ricchan in Haste to Waste outfit.
And yes, that's Rena in Everyday Kachuusha outfit.

Kojiharu is in the white dress from Manatsu no Sounds Good btw, the one near the end

 

That Zero Sum Taiyou outfit really looks like UZA

And I swear Yamamoto looks like Eriko Jo

 

Go to the 0:11 mark on the video and the last square on the last row of the MVs looks like thats the Team Surprises M16 PV. Also I never saw that PV before and M16's PV looks like a dark PV.

 

While I can't say I like the design (too colorful) it does have a fun look to it and brings back earlier day of AKB when it was more fun and lively. Which seem to be a theme recently with the youth movement and so I don't really mind.

It actually remind me more of the cover on 1st MV set:

 

Desperately wants~~ I'm actually quite fond of the ridiculous color splashes and the varied outfits for the cover Definitely a fan of that. And also SUPER curious to see the para-para manga versions of So Long/Yume no Kawa/etc, I didn't even know they had such a version!!!

My wallet? Not so much a fan OTL

Already spent a little (but still an expense) on Mocchi's PB and saving up for the 3DS and Pokemon X/Y that's coming out

Oh DVD~ I will wait for you when someone's willing to let it go for second-hand (unless the photos are amazing, then I'll really want to shoot something).

 

I wanted this so bad I actually bought it, yay me for taking money out of my savings account to buy it because I'm so broke... (help me)

Uwaaa. I'm still contemplating whether to buy this or not.. So for the free photos, are all members included in the photos or only those who are featured on the covers? Also based on the previous MV collection releases and the price of this set, how many freebie pictures are included?
