    that seems such a mismatch to me ... all those egg models are (extreme) Gyaru ... and Mogi is just cool :D

    the video description says:
    DeepL: Shinobu Mogi, an active AKB48 gyaru
    Apple translate: Shinobu Mogi, who has a high degree of gyaru in active AKB48

    frankly, I'm not seeing that, Gyaru is imho lots of bling ... not showing up in jeans and a sweater :)

    (I see parallels with Sayaka, who was so cool that people said she wasn't girly, which was wrong in both cases imho)

    I kinda expected a channel almost dedicated to the concept to know it's own subculture better, but I guess they are being inclusive :D

    I'd rank Tomochin as a gyaru, Mogi ... nah

    Well, one thing is that the machine translation is not exactly right. It's "Mogi who is an active AKB48 member with some level of gyaru" (TBH it's quite hard to get nuance right in this kind of sentence).

    Also, this collaboration is a result from Nemosu TV project.

    Yes she's sold out all but 3 of her remaining slots which is great. She's certainly come quite some way since 2017 when I was at a 2-shot event for the 'Thumbnail' album and I had a couple of unused tickets to use up through 'oshimashi' due to some member absences that day through illness. As it was the last slot and time was moving on I looked for members I liked who had short lines, and Mogi had no line at all so I chose her. She was very lovely and I was surprised that no fans were waiting to meet her.

    It's good that she's finally found some deserved popularity and hopefully a long overdue A-side senbatsu appearance is on its way for her.
