NGT48 Nakai Rika ranked at 23rd place

The results of voting is currently being announced in the "AKB48 49th Single Selection General Election". Nakai Rika, who served as the center of NGT48's debut single "Seishun Dokei", managed to rank in in the 23rd place (29,953 votes).

Nakai is from NGT48's first generation. She was chosen as a member of AKB48's Single Selection for three consecutive works since "High Tension" in 2016. She managed to make a great recovery from her preliminary result of 83rd place announced on May 31.

The "9th Selection General Election" of AKB48 Group was held at an indoor venue in Okinawa prefecture on the 17. Nakai Rika (19), who served as the center of NGT48's debut song "Seishun Dokei", has made a big leap from the unranked 96th place last year to 23rd place. She is a known hard worker to put in efforts to appeal to fans through the live broadcasting application SHOWROOM. "I'll do my best to aim higher", she promised with a smile.

Nakai Rika (19) of NGT48, who started this election by ranking out of the border at 83rd place in the preliminary announcement, managed to rank in at 23rd place into the Undergirls. Upon having her name called, she stood up with a smile and was congratulated by the members of NGT48 around. "I have been chosen for the Selection since last year and was given a lot of opportunities, so there was a big burden on my shoulders but I am really happy", she said.

Continuing, "I am also very hated and have a lot of antis. On the other hand, this 23rd place has proved that I also have many allies. So I want to keep on working hard with all my fans", she said. Takakura Moeka (16), who ranked 7th place in the preliminary results, also managed to rank in in the Undergirls. "It's a lot of frustrating that I got a ranking of 7th in the preliminary results and it has declined, but I'm really glad that you all voted for me and got 25th place as a result", she thanked the fans.

Three members of NGT48 managed to rank in between the 80th to 65th place of Upcoming Girls. Two members born in 1995, Yamaguchi Maho (21) and Nishigata Marina (21), managed to rank in in Future Girls and Next Girls respectively.

Yeah, this is very good! ^^
Unlike other NGT members who got a boost in the prelims, looks like Rikachan's numbers are consistent and I think it will remain next year too. However the "Wall of Senbatsu" seems to be very hard to be surpassed. We have seen various members trying to overcome it for years and others who just fell back to Undergirls.
