Announced at Revival concert today.
Is this going to be an actual team? Like team A,K and B? Or is this only like a temporary team for them? o-o Because if they make Team 4, are they also going to make Team '8'?

No massive graduation this year, yay Okay now, Miyu or Minarun as captain This is nice for them~ they deserve it ;A; But... more regular members, more stages, and then Team 8 when they have way too many KKS and they won't know where to put them xD

I don't know yet how to take this news ... But my first thought (sorry) is that their stages will be : 41, 42, 43, ..., 48 ...
It was creating Team 4 or graduating 10 regular members, I guess they had to make a choice It still sounds weird and good to me at the same time xD The only difference between Team 4 and KKS is that they have their own stage o___o (or maybe the management is planning to re-shuffle the teams ? /stops trolling)
WHAT?! I don't know whether to at how original their team name is or whether to say "it's about time they're actually assigned a team proper". Or maybe because no one is graduating (en masse or otherwise), hence this situation of establishing another team. AKB(48+14=)62 indeed. Probably won't stop at 62 though, considering Team 8 has yet to be established, composed of yet more fresh KK graduates (no, I don't mean "graduates" in the usual AKB48 sense) Seriously though, unless there's some kind of team shuffle pending (very poor move, and I can only imagine the huge uproar that would create, considering what happened in 2009...), the creation of these "number" teams only serves to separate them from the standard original "letter" groups even more. At least before, there was the possibility of integration with other full members - something that KKs always aspired to. That chance of being in a proper letter group has now diminished greatly. From Aki-P's perspective though, what else could you do? - Force full members out, or shift some of the older ones to SDN48? Unlikely - it'll be difficult to convince fans of the ousted member that such a move was legitimately out of the girl's own personal decision. - Keep retaining this "unassigned" status for the technically already promoted KKs? And leave them hanging until when? I'm really of two minds here - good that they're assigned a proper, full (I'm assuming) team leading to greater exposure, but I just cannot ignore these other issues that would now surface as a result. That leaves a rather cute question: what if the other -48 groups encounter this exact same situation? I can only imagine "Team 4 II" or "Team 8 III" being established one day...
So AKB48 will officially have more than 48 girls ... A bit off-concept but what are you gonna do when there are so many girls and more will keep coming in. Guess there'll be a Team 8 next year I'm for Haruu as captain, she has that Takamina vibe.
This isn't a surprise, there was a joke thread about this in Nihongogo back in 2008, and without having ever heard about it I thought about it when the kenkyuusei were promoted without team. Well, most (if not all) of the kenkyuusei are represented by AKS. With the A, K and B teams fully formed, there is little room for these kenkyuusei to show (and thus get their profitability up). Making new teams for them and giving them more airtime in different programs is a good way to make them more valuable. There are girls like Miorin, Minarun and others who are more popular than many full members. I wonder what is the profile they will give to these teams, with A being idol image, K being idol strength, B being idol cuteness... Maybe AKB48's spirit... if they are getting an original stage, it might mean they will focus on theater, which was the spirit of AKB48, while the other groups focus on profitability (having lost their original conception years ago).

throwing out there that Togasaki has announced ALL TEAMS including Team 4 will be getting new stages.
