Reading the assumptions about the center and Senbatsu for the A-side before anything was announced is interesting; although I still wish Katomina had been made center Does anyone know why she was pushed so much at first only for her not to become the first center after all?
I also noticed that in the OP Yukirin isn't mentioned as one of the participating members in Kurayami Motomu. I definitely saw her in the music video
This is the first time for me since becoming a fan of the 48 group that I witnessed a debut single for a sister group so I'm excited. I liked the single a lot!

 

Management always have an idea of who the center is before a group's debut. However, since the time between NGT's formation and their debut, fan input ultimately swayed management to change their decision. Rika is the most popular girl in her group right now and it's not even close. That being said, management didn't have to change who the center was going to be for the single, but they did.

This change in center is very similar to what happened with Haruppi in HKT48. Check out the Documentary of HKT48 to see the story unfold. She ultimately regained her center position, so let's hope one day Katomina can have her comeback as well.
