Fun Fact: Mashimo Kaho and Yamazaki Mirii are the only member born before 2000.

 

Some girls came a long way to join, huh?! Miri I think was the one who came from the most distant place, all the way from Hokkaido! I really like Miri, Aoi and Sara So glad they joined!

 

And still no one from Wakayama

 

Do we have anyone new from the Kansai region? Really pity Kani.

2nd Generation introduction video clips

The ngt48.jp or ngt48.com websites have the 2nd Gens' profile up.

 

Its sad Miharu & Sakura didn't make it again but Miharu is still young enough for HKT48's auditions while hopefully, Sakura gets into NMB48's new Gen. I'm not sure when the cut off date was for NMB but maybe she got her rejection ahead of time so she could apply to NMB.

I hope they won't give up, they were my favorites.

Girls who caught my eye: Hagiri Runa, Mashimo Kaho, Morohashi Hinata, Yamazaki Mirii

Both Runa and Kaho had smiles that got my heart. Kaho and Mirii delivered their self intros in a way that makes me expect good things from their MCs. And Hinata is a fan of Yokochan so good taste and all that.

The training camp the 2nd generation had to participate in.

 

I know that Arinko has posted a video of that in the general NGT thread already, but I figured it wouldn't hurt to post it in the dedicated 2nd gen thread as well. So, here's a close-up report of the training campus, from this morning's Niigata Ichiban.
As the Dwango article above also mentioned, one day was also set aside to doing basic chores at a local shrine, like helping with cleaning up the floor together, for the purpose of fostering team collaboration. Nice idea (also sorry, but it gives me some Karate Kid vibes, heh heh), I think few if any other generations had ever done that, especially at such an early stage.

On other news, judging from the new batch of member accounts that has been added on Showroom, it seems like today the 2nd generation just received the permission to start broadcasting on the platform and in all likelihood they'll be already free to stream by tomorrow. Keeping up with everyone is gonna get even tougher for me... (ノД`)
Oh well, for the time being I'll try keeping an eye mainly on Mirii as I did during the audition campaign.

 

Have been watching some of the 2nd Gen's Showrooms.... the Hokkaido girl is a ringleader! Actually many of the girls have very very strong characters! Sara stands out too.

 

Can anyone tell me who’s who?
