Single NGT48 2nd [Sekai wa Doko Made Aozora na no ka?] (2017/12/06)

My only gripe with the MV is the lack of Screentime Katomina, Mahohon and Gatanee got. Other then that, this was a pretty damn good MV (OgiYuka and Hinatan got good chemistry together).

Disagree with you on that. I feel the lineup suffer from what it did last single (In Yukirin's Kennin screwing over members). Where OgiYuka should have been in the front row for Seishun Dokei, Katomina, Mahohon, or Gatanee should have taken the 2nd Row spot away from Yukirin with Yukirin taking the spot in the 3rd row. Why I'm hoping after Rie graduates next year, they end Yukirin's Kennin as well (That way members can stop getting screwed over in the lineup).

 

Yukirin and Kitarie played a big part in OgiYuka story in real life and in the MV story. I don't begrudge them of their positions.

All of those on the second row had speaking roles.

The only minus that is Ogiyuka didn't get solo cover. She deserves & I'd buy that type.

 

Did you guys notice their school ribbons? The older girls are wearing blue, the young green, Yukirin and Kitarie with black ties, and the rest in red.

Instead of kabarets and pro-wrestling, I would love a drama of the girls trying to make a school idol group in a fictional Niigata high school. Ogiyuka making an idol club and recruiting girls who love idols from other clubs. Hinatan from the ballet club, Katomina from baton club, Okappa's piano/music club, Rikachan's tea ceremony club, Renapon's baseball, Gatanee cooking, etc.

It's true that this MV didn't give much coverage to the other girls. However, in concern to the senbatsu lineup, it's perfect since they're trying to reflect the SSK ranks. The first two lines are madeup of senbatsu and undergirls, with senbatsu members Ogiyuka and Hinatan taking 1st and 2nd row center, while Undergirls Rikachan and Moeka get front line coverage next to Hinatan. Then there's senior senbatsu Yukirin and Kitarie who might be at the front, but at least at the very edge. At the 3rd row there's NextGirl Gatanee and FutureGirl Mahoho, followed by UpcomingGirl Katomina, and then finally promising youngest member Tsugumin.

I agree with you about Yukirin and Kitarie, but I'm mostly glad that their position isn't in top 3 as we expected, which means that they're gradually backing away and making way for the other NGT48 members.

In the MV, their role is to warn Ogiyuka of the road ahead, and what they had to face themselves, then leave. There's even a scene where they look back at Lovela2 then move on out, which can signify their departure from the group. With the 3rd draft coming up, the NGT48 girls are about to be senpais. Once Kitarie leaves, Yukirin will most likely leave as well. Their last single is basically either this one or the next.

I liked all the songs so far, this MV brought the single to another level

 

Just watched the MV and gonna randomly barge in out of nowhere lol
- Homma Hinata can act
- MV was beautiful
- Uniforms were also awesome (I wonder what came to Yuki's & Kitarie's mind when they had to wear those sailor seifukus though )
- Love the OgiYuka solo dance
- There's some awkward acting in there but hey, not too bad xD
- I'm excited for the live performance
- English subs! First time seeing that on a 48/46 MV

 

the idea is not bad, but the acting is terrible. Ogiyuka not center, not actress. Her acting is annoying. I prefer Hinatan, Ayakani or Renapon. or Mahohon . Too much Katarie and Yukirin. I would like to not see them in the group at all.
Anyway main song is great, I LOVE Sekai wa...
Don't like any b-sides meh...

HKT's latest single had a female director too correct? I also really liked that MV. It's nice too see more female directors being represented. I secretly wish Mika Ninagawa would do an MV for every 48-group, but that's a personal preference lol.

The song is probably the best that has come out of the 48 family in years.
The cinematography is impeccable and that last shot of all of them dancing on the stairs... GOOSEBUMPS!

And I had not cared much for Hinatan even if she ranked 13th this year, but girl SHE'S CUTE!

My only complain is the lack of Katomina.
I wonder if they've completely dropped her from the push list or they'll try and make a comeback for her.

But if they don't give the 3rd center to Hinatan imma riot.

This better sell 200k first week.

 

ogiyuka was just playing herself in this mv, you could say her acting is bad but i think she just really is that much of a spazmatic overemotional person. hinatan was such a cutie though. i admit i never paid her much attention and was confused at her popularity but after this mv i like her much more.

i can't really begrudge kitarie and yukirin their screentime since this is surely one of their last singles.

i feel like there was a good representation of the top ssk rankers, but when it came to the low rankers they were nonexistent. at least katomina got like a single focus shot but i didnt see kado yuria or miyajima aya at all...
