NMB's 2nd album sold 325,249 copies in its first week getting 1st place

Their album just barely managed to keep pace with Teppen Tottande, and with numbers taking a dip as of late all around, the group managed to hang on a bit longer by combining their album with RH, Stages in exchange for no mini-handshakes, special events etc.

Soundscan numbers also took a pretty big dip with Teppen having 140,794 and Sekachu having 101,132.

Looking at the handshake spreads one might be skeptical that the theater editions made a big portion of these sales (or bigger than expected given the content attached to the normal editions) but I guess the handshakes and gift-giving events have sold more than we expected (just not totally sold out to the point where we see it).

But all in all, pretty good numbers for something that's triple the cost of a regular single.

 

Yes, the same opinion here. Can't wait to get my copies and watch the DVD all night. The album is great and the new songs are good. They did a great job and Ibiza Girl is a good summer single.

I do really really like Dakishimetaikedo a lot. Not only is it my favourite Sayanee solo song, it's also like currently in my top 3 favourite NMB songs.
It's in a way relaxing, and the lyrics I can kinda relate to a lot haha.
I liked it so much it's now my phone ringtone haha.
(Coincidentally, I just saw on Gplus that both Sayanee's mum and dad have their phone ringtones set to Dakishimetaikedo as well haha.)

Its the list of members who you can't use same-day tickets on written in a format similar to the chara-ani sales charts.

Since we can't know the final results of the last round of sales, some fans use it as a proxy for "final" sales results.

 

And that's not completely accurate either since same day ticket usage was broken down by slot. I used mine on Akarin but you were only able to use it on one of the morning slots for her.

 

Yeah, that's why the list has holes. You can only ever use same day tickets for 2 slots for Shuu for example (I assume this is the Nagoya event) but you'd have to have same day tickets for that particular day.
