Maiyan's character has changed since 46 hours TV and graduated from modeling works. She becomes more cheerful and adorable. I like the new Maiyan.

This episode is kinda weak for me. Aside from Maiyan's slot, the rest are blatant marketing gimmick. Foot massager? Nail polisher? Cmon.

I feel bad for the girls, but at the same time can't stop laughing
I think Maiyan is genuinely disgusted. After she's holding that frog, her face turned red.

 

I think she didn't like to hold the frog, but that she (and Ringo) were told to over act and mug for the camera more. I doubt that any of the other members who had to hold the frog weren't disgusted as well.

Yeah, to be fair I guess Maaya would probably the most scared. I've just re-watched Nogidoko ep 100 where they had the 'holding frog' relay, Maiyan was doing pretty alright there, although that maybe influenced by competition. On the other hand Maaya couldn't do it at all, she made a huge improvement here.
I secretly want them to do the scorpion instead. IMO, it's 10x more scary than the frog.

I'll never understand why so many people are that terrified of frogs, to the extent of prefering to hold a scorpion?! Glad at least Inoue recognised it as cute.

 

Maybe the notion that frogs are slimy? We'd need frog holding expert Fresh Lemon here to show them how it's done.

Honestly, I expect to see them holding the scorpions though... There are too many episodes with toad already. Scorpions on that size is terrifying...

 

It seems that even Nanasemaru (who has no qualms with these kinds of challenges) wants to back down on the scorpions.

Agreed, frog is so old story. It'll be interesting to see scorpion because it can crawl on their hands.
