1st round HS application started, so as a result total HS block amount for the 13th single is out! There's some surprises, for me at least.

From left to right are: 13th single HS block total, 12th's total, changes, & name.

Damn Iori. That push is flopping hard. Why tho? D-:>

Fuck yes to AmiAmi, Sayuranger, Hinahime, Ranze and Meru's girlfriend Miona.

Most surprising here is seeing Chiichan get an additional block. Perhaps she's one of those cases where her sales are spread out enough that her blocks don't sell out so it appears like she's doing worse than she actually is.

Not surprised Ikoma's blocks were lowered again, just surprised it didn't happen last time. I really wish we had more active members in this forum that attend handshake, I'd really like to know why Wada and Mahiro aren't popular in that arena.

As for the actual single, Taiyou Knock's senbatsu burned me to the point where I'm not even going to bother being optimistic here. I'm just going to hope for the bare minimum of positive happenings and anything else will just be a pleasant surprise.

Block changes are a very interesting subject

Hopes, fears, predictions and wild guesses:

    26 | 22 (+04) Hori Miona
Returning to senbatsu? Or just because she sold well.
    25 | 19 (+06) Inoue Sayuri
Remaining or UG centre? Or just because she sold out?
    23 | 22 (+01) Nakamoto Himeka
Returning to senbatsu? Not too likely as she sold pretty well.
    19 | 22 (-03) Ikoma Rina
Not centre. She tripled her sell outs and they still dropped her.
    18 | 22 (-04) Saito Yuri
dropped to UG. No doubt. She sold pretty well but was still dropped.
    18 | 11 (+07) Terada Ranze
Entering senbatsu or UG centre. Surely.
    12 | 00 (+12) Yamazaki Rena
Just back from her break. Nothing to see here. Or is there?
    10 | 14 (-04) Watanabe Miria
Just trying to surprise us when she's centre of the 14th single...
    07 | 06 (+01) Saito Chiharu
Fearing the worst but maybe not so bad. She did sell out her first slot ever last single so maybe it's a sign of things to come?

    So who will they drop?
Marika and Maichun went up without selling all that well last time.

Oh, and no big deal, but it should be "can no longer sell out"

I'll throw in some thoughts on this too lol

    30 | 28 (+02) Takayama Kazumi
I wonder will she remains fukujin lol, I do think mngmnt likes her a lot.

    26 | 22 (+04) Hori Miona
She's very likely to return to senbatsu I think, unless they was her to stick around Unders a bit longer like minami?

    23 | 22 (+01) Nakamoto Himeka
On himetan, actually I think there's a decent chance she'll return to senbatsu or at least centres Unders. Among those with 20 total blocks & above, she's the only one that haven't been back in senbatsu for a long while (not since 7th), so it'd make sense if she do. The complication is that just the members that have max total blocks amount to 14(!) members, assuming they all remains senbatsu & that Ikoma stays & miona returns, that's 16 spots alrdy. Assuming senbatsu's still sizing 18, that's only two spots to fight over.

    19 | 22 (-03) Ikoma Rina
I'm quite surprised by this tbh, her sales for 12th was an improvement over her 11th's sales. It could mean her sales in other blocks are quite lacking? I would like to think she's not likely to centre cuz of this, but she was rewarded centre after the lackluster sales for 11th, so not keeping my hope up. She got one extra blocks over the 18 blocks group via the Nagoya event on 12.27, prolly cuz there'll be her birthday event lol.

    18 | 11 (+07) Terada Ranze
I agree she's ether entering senbatsu or front of Unders comes next single.

    08 | 16 (-08) Sagara Iori
Quite sad bout this tbh, iori's quite likable methink. I think the problem is that she have not been able to stand out so far, even tho most ppl have a good impression of her.

    07 | 11 (-04) Kawago Hina
    idgi lol

    so senbatsu guess:
naa maimai maiyan mana nanamean senpai iku ashu tsuki kyappu sayurin minami marika Takayama Ikoma miona ranze hime.

fukujin composition is going to be mightily hard lol, all the members with 30 total blocks have good grounds to being one. misa rly should become one alrdy, & I would love to see ashu enters too. returning sayurin or minami or letting marika enters for first time sounds great too. an easy way is to just go with the top 10 sellers (naa maimai maiyan mana nanamean senpai iku ashu tsuki & kyappu), altho I won't keep my hope up lol

Eh, why they cut Ikoma's HS block? her sales improved so much right? That's surprise me. i always think that she's management golden child, so with more than triple improvement of her sales they will increase her block.

err, i imagine the composition of 13th single senbatsu is based on 12th single top HS seller with random center lol

Honestly at this point they have to start realizing that something is really really wrong with the 2nd gen. This in a group with only freaking 37 members!! How are they going to pull off another group on top of this?

I don't mean to say that there is something wrong with the girls, but that there is something seriously wrong in how management is pushing them.

It's been over 2 years since they debuted and they're still not catching on! All the 30/30 sellers are 1st gen - and 1st gen alone. In AKB, SKE, HKT and NMB we never had this situation - why is it that only Nogizaka has such a problem pushing their 2nd gen members?

Oh ok. I think 2nd gen will take some more time. Horichan is getting there. Kiichan and Ranran are steadily climbing as well as Maichun. Mgmt is the enigma. I swear Misa Senpai should've been fukujin two singles ago.

Exactly. There should be more being done to help push 2nd gen (like even making a subunit?) but it seems like management just doesn't care.

Tbh, I think it's probably because management spent all their money boosting the girls' modeling careers - its kind of clear that Nogi is meant to be like AKB48 but for girls, hence the modeling push - so they don't know what to do to boost the 2nd gen for now.
