I'm quite curious to see the new five 4kisei's HS result. It seems like none of them sell a single slot this round. Umechan and Kubo are very consistent HS sellers, very well-deserved flank position.

For the kojin PVs, is everyone a genius? Because that's all I hear (or read or pretend to know as it's one of the few Japanese words I can read)

The three 4th Gen genius kojin PVs that are the most interesting to me after watching the previews:
    1. Tsutsui Ayame - Let's go! Punk rock! Mostly Matteru Girl's return. And yes I went to rewatch Nanase's PV from the 14th single
    2. Hayashi Runa - She's reminding me of Wakatsuki. I wonder if she'll be every members' boyfriend?
    3. Kitagawa Yuri - Gotta watch Yuri-chan punching people.
Feels like it's worth getting the single CD for both the music and the bonus PVs. Although there's still plenty of wasted space on the BluRays if its just the music videos and 4 PVs.

There are some decent ones, but none of them is as good and iconic as Tamura Hono's one. The Nogizaka member we deserved but don't have.

Maybe you already know this. On Nekojita with Sayaka, she said she want to be members' boyfriend. Runa even wrote her own name when the staff asked them to write the member that Sayaka and Runa want to be their boyfriend. Btw, Sayaka wrote Rei as her answer.:D She also want her lil brother to call her Oniichan rather than Oneechan.[hehe]
And, I agree that she has Wakatsuki vibe. Her tsukkomi, how she flirt with members, and of course, her weird side are reminding me of my Kami oshi. Maybe, that is why she is now my 4ki Oshi.:)

By the way, at the end of Runa kojin PV trailer, she gave us fans a riddle. She said, "I am Hayashi Runa with 2 trees. If I have 4 trees, who am I?"
    7cfb5121.jpg
The answer is as shown in the picture above, 4ki Runa.(4th gen, Runa)
The "Hayashi" kanji (林) consist of two kanji for tree (木 or ki in Japanese).
So, if she use four kanji for tree like the SS above, you can read it as 4 ki. :D

You could've just told us one of the ones you liked rather than expressing your disappointment yet again.

After almost a year, we have a proper single again and as usual, I collected my thoughts about the music on this release. This single is quite an important one, considering the events of last year, both within the group as the world as a whole. The previous single was definitely a step up from the 2019 releases and a song like Anastasia has become one of my all time favorites. Will the 26th continue the upward trend? Let’s find out!

Boku wa Boku wo Suki ni naru
Already in the first few seconds, the song immediately identifies as a nogi song. Soothing strings, delicate synth melodies and warm lows. It’s instantly recognizable, even though it’s quite fast paced compared to other a-sides. The driving beat is almost constantly there, mainly pushing the song forward without much variation. The vocals are really pleasing to the ear, and each line is delivered with confidence and grace. Going for this tried and tested style comes with a risk though, since the lack of real surprises might make me skip the song in the long run.

    Ashita ga Aru Riyuu
This song treads familiar grounds as well, but starts off with a somewhat weak intro. Things pick up though when the bass makes its entry, providing the song with a warm and playful foundation. The fast paced vocal parts make a nice contrast with the laid back beat in the verses, and flow nicely into a more urgent tone in the pre-chorus. It’s desperately needed though since the rest of the instrumentation lacks variation and just seems to go through the motions. The bridge is an exception, because it builds up a nice tension. Too bad it’s too short. The song could have used some more moments like this, to make it a bit more memorable.

    Wilderness World
Now we are treading into more electronic territory, which can be hit or miss considering nogi’s past experiments with the genre. I think this song is very strong though. I could live without the autotuned English vocals in the beginning, but other than that, I love to play this song out loud. The production is really good. The rhythm and bass are clearly audible, and they work together well without losing their adventurous identity, both getting a lot of room to break out and draw attention at the right times. I especially want to mention the bass’ chord shift in the chorus, diverting from the vocal lines. It sounds absolutely delicious. The synths have an appropriate futuristic sound and there is also a lot of cymbal use, bordering on excessive. There’s a lot going on, but the bridge provides a brief but nice moment of peace before the song goes all out one more time. Love it!

    Kuchi Hodo Nimonai Kiss
Yes! This song, it’s just flawless. It really can’t be compared to other Under songs, except for the high quality. It has a lot of cuteness to it, but without sounding like a generic idol song. The synths sound almost like a harp and I also hear something resembling an organ, and this gives the song an unique vibe. The chorus is the most uplifting thing I have heard in ages, and the solo vocal lines in the verses are spot on. The bridge gives us some vocal line magic as well, at which point I can only throw my arms in the air in disbelief of this level of songwriting. Oh, I also love the chugging guitars and the playful bass and the subtle strings. What I don’t love is that this song is too short! It’s my favorite song on this single.

    Tsumetai Mizu no Naka
Then the single does a 180 mood wise. This is Miona’s song, and I loved it since first listen, despite the devastating news it came with. Or maybe it’s because of it. I can’t deny that my emotional attachment to Miona adds a lot of meaning to the song, and honestly it’s the first time I ever felt like this with a graduation song. Music wise it uses the usual tearjerker template, but Miona’s delivery makes all the difference. Her emotion is palpable, especially during the chorus, in which she opens a vortex of intensity and ardour. It’s my favorite song on this single.

    Out of the Blue
I like the casino vibe of this song. The twangy bass and lively drums enhance the mood, as do the funky guitar and celebrating brass. Vocally, it falls a bit flat. It’s something I noticed before with 4th gen songs, which is strange because this generation is arguably the strongest vocally. It’s like they hold back, afraid of showing their true potential. It creates an odd discord, and therefore the song fails to keep my attention after a while.

    Yuujou Pierce
Ozono Momoko is my favorite vocalist of Nogizaka46. That alone should be reason enough to love this song. Momoko has a soothing, mysterious voice that can take you on an emotional journey if the circumstances are right. However, instrumentally this song does nothing for me, and I think her voice doesn’t fit this style. Had they used minor chords, I think it would’ve sounded better. Endou Sakura has some vocal work as well, but she’s mixed to the background and is only properly audible during her solo lines. A bit of a disappointment, this song.

    Conclusion
This single turned out great! I never expect to like each and every song, because I never do. Most of the songs are strong though, and I can’t choose between Kuchi Hodo Nimonai Kiss and Tsumetai Mizu no Naka as my favorite. I am sure they will be on my playlist for a long time, and I couldn’t ask for more honestly.

After listening to this single non-stop for a few days, I can finally firm up my song ranking.
    1. Boku wa Boku wo Suki ni naru
There's no doubt, this is one of the greatest Nogi song for me. It's a classic Nogi tunes which I don't mind to listen many2 times over. It's a great uplifting song for weekdays morning blues or to celebrate weekend. Have been listening to this since the first time they performed until now, it still gives me the same chills.

    2. Wilderness World
This song is really surprising, didn't feel much of it upon first listen but now I'm really digging it, definitely a slow burner but in the long run seems going to stay longer in my playlist.

    3. Kuchi hodo ni mo nai Kiss
At first seems too cutesy for my liking, but it turns out to be really catchy indeed, the individual vocal sounds nice too.

    4. Tsumetai mizu no naka
A great tearjerker, very sad yet very beautiful. I was tempted to rank this higher but I feel that the vocal can be better. Miona sounds splendid on her lower notes but at some part of the chorus, she sounds like she's screeching her voice.

    5. Yuujou Pierce
The song feels so peaceful and relaxing. Momoko's voice is the highlight here with Sakura's voice harmonize beautifully in background. Both have a very soothing voice which fits the song well. But it would be better if the verses are sung in solo alternate between the 2 of them.

    6. Ashita ga aru riyuu
Nice catchy song and I have been listening the live ripped version since much earlier. Nice to hear the proper studio version but overall as of now it's kinda lose it's effect on me already.

    7. Out of the blue
It's not a bad song per se, the catchiness is there. But comparison with "I See" is unfortunate because "I See" is much catchier song. This one just feels loud, both the instrumentals and the vocals, but the mood is more subdued. Tbh, I used not to like "I see" very much but that song grew after many listen, this song just doesn't do the same.

I just received a code today for this Saturday's Hinatazaka46 1st Album mini live(required 2 tickets from CDs last October) . It's using Stagecrowd, so no issues of geoblocking.
if this mini live is using Stagecrowd too, then shouldn't be geoblocked.

The CDTV live performance of Boku wa Boku wo Suki ni Naru was excellent.

There's really great choreography for this song, and the costumes on this occasion complemented it perfectly.

One of the sequences reminds me of the "bokutachi wa..." routine from Sanbanme...

    montage.jpg
...there are four layouts in the space of ten seconds! This is really difficult to coordinate, but they make the whole sequence look effortless.

Can't fail to be impressed by this :chuffed:

That's a reasonable 1st week. But it's not going to sell that much past 1st week as there's no national HS, which was the main driver for past singles sales as it was the only way to meet many top members who no longer participate in individual HS. Likely end about 750k, while 800k would be really awesome.
