One thing's for sure: This isn't going to sell a million, surely for the first week. Again, just look at what @ZenigameX said above.

 

What a bummer, I expected a drop but not this much.... Off to a slow start.

 

This is embarassing. Nogizaka is going to be surpassed by its sister groups with less members. This is sad but expected, I said different times they did bad choices these years (weak 4th gen compared to Keya 2nd gen, too many filler unnecessary members on this group, etc.) and called me an hater for that. But here we are. With our major group with more members becoming the weakest sakamichi group.

Although I am disappointed by the numbers, isn't it expected the sales would not be that high considering a lot of factors? (i.e pandemic, the handshake being online, etc.) I really don't think they're flopping or anything. Besides, they're currently going through a transitional phase in my opinion

You disliked Ayatii's recovery from covid, so what else could that mean.

 

I disliked it cause I wished it was news about her announcing graduation cause I think it's really time for her,but instead it was about her restarting Nogizaka activities. I don't wish covid to anyone, I just hope members like her wouldn't be on this group leeching on it. I mean, she's been on this group for 5 years and the most relevant thing about her since then is her getting covid.

Sakura only sold 300k on day 1 so I don't know what people are talking about as far as losing to the sister groups.

I expected this considering the low individual hand shake sales which will have a significant impact on overall sales. And the low handshake sales can't really be explained by the loss of Maiyan since Maiyan hasn't participated in IHS in years

Covid probably has a lot to do with it.

However, I'm wondering if the popularity of VTubers hasn't had a major impact. VTuber idol activities haven't been affected at all by Covid and the popularity of VTubers has massively exploded in 2020, with some of the most popular ones jumping from around 100,000 subscribers at the beginning of 2020 to well over a million by the end. A lot of those are western fans who were never wota to begin with but I wouldn't be surprised if a lot of Japanese wota turned to VTubers during Covid and the stay home orders and are now choosing to spend their idol budgets on membership subscriptions and superchats rather than handshakes.

 

The first day sales for 26th single already higher than Sakurazaka's Nobody's Fault first week sales. It is kinda expected that there will be a dip in sales due to factors like handshake, pandemic etc...
Talking about the 4th gen, I thought they have more potential and interesting than 3rd gen that already in the group for almost 5 years. Not to say that they have many unnecessary members but management need to give them room of opportunities to grow within group. About 27th single, I am hoping we could get Ikuchan as the next center

 

Why are people even bringing Sakurazaka into this? Hinatazaka is a bigger competition to Nogizaka now.

Also for this single, my favorite is "Wilderness world". I like the song and I love the MV so much.
It's rare to see Nogi in this concept.
For 2nd, "Boku wa Boku wo Sukininaru" and 3rd is "Out of the Blue".
Just hope Zukki won't get stress with the sales... Wish the best for Nogi!
