so 561,071 sales for a week. is it Bad or Good sales for management? hope they learn the lesson to do actual screening or risk management before airdrop new faces

not really sure, but I remember something like Oricon in recent years put a new rule for physical single sales where there is a count limit for single copies bought per person. That's why the Billboard sales are usually higher.

If a single person purchases more than 10 copies of a physical single, oricon only counts up to 10 of those copies. So if someone buys 950 copies, it would still only be counted as 10. So that’s why there is such a large gap between Oricon and billboard.

It's the difference in their counting methodology. I believe Oricon omits international and bulk orders.

Below is from an old post that discusses some of the details (including their flaws). Not sure if there have been any changes to the methods since.

Both Oricon and Billboard/Soundscan are inaccurate and flawed in their own distinctive ways.

For Oricon, we have:

As told before, international sales are not accounted for

And, that's right, there's also a limit to only 20 copies of a given single per bulk purchases. This change almost flew under the radar in Japan, but it was revealed in an interview by Asahi with the Oricon boss that was published as far back as 2015 (and it was possibly implemented since even earlier). Here's an excerpt of the interview quoted by a 2ch matome blog (please ignore the same abusive remarks that are typical of the 2ch plebs) containing the "20 copies" statement, seeing as how the original interview can no longer be accessed on the main site (and it was in the part of the article only available to subscribers, anyway, if memory serves well)

Another small point of contention, against which Oricon has waged a years-long crusade, was also whether to count the CDs sold at lives and event venues and if so to what extent, especially when the CDs are employed as a method of payment for people to access the events in the first place, like way too many minor musicians do. There has been some minor tweaks to the way their numbers are counted over the years, limiting it to sometimes a percentage of the total (30%), and sometimes by setting a cap to only 3000 copies a week per venue. I remember how, every time, it was mistaken by some (both here and on the Japanese Internet) as potentially affecting the counting of AKB sales on the Oricon chart, and every time a new change was announced it was heralded as the end of the so-called "AKB shouhou" (in reference to handshaked events). Never mind the fact that, as everyone knows, AKB never sold CDs at handshake event venues in recent memory.
Nothing relevant so far, but more recently they added a clause involving also the so-called "pre-order events", in which customers can access the event venue by going inside the store and placing a preorder for the CD before it even goes on sale. In a recent Oricon communication from last year, they announced that they raised the limit from 2 copies per person to 3 in these cases, to reflect the fact that these events are rising in importance and becoming more commonplace. But there's still a limit nonetheless.
While so far none of these rules impacted AKB, it should be noted this is a method of self-promotion that had been used rather widely by NGT for their single releases, during their pre-release mini-akushukai sessions -- and which they have employed even long after these limitations were enacted. I wonder why, if not just stupidity on Fortune Music's part. In any case, this might account for the difference in numbers that you see between the Oricon and Billboard reports for NGT sales, for all it's worth.

On Billboard's side, instead there's:

Arguing about only wanting verified sources, Billboard still insists on picking up only data that comes from POS (point of sale) sources that use Nielsen's Soundscan proprietary tools and are subscribed to their survey program, with the result of deliberately limiting themselves to only a fraction of all the music stores available in the country. This is true for USA as much as Japan, of course.

The. Goddamn. Weighting. System.
If after you have read the above point you're left wondering how they can make up for the missing data, here's the "solution". It's an obtuse, unintuitive, easy-to-cheat solution that needs constant tweakings and refinements to make it work. I have explained it more in-depth in a post a year back how it is supposed to "figure out" the total sales from only a small sample, so you may want to have a look there and check some of the articles I have linked inside as a reference.
As of now, even after decades since its implementation, its more glaring flaws still haven't been solved yet (and they are only making it worse and more byzantine by including "web streaming" as if it were actual sales, for example -- take a look at this announcement).
It seems Jpop fans are ignoring the proverbial elephant in room, but a small googling will reveal it's still a very controversial topic among music chart critics and the reason some are looking at the resulting numbers with distrust.

In conclusion, both of them are very far from being ideal and neither of them report the actual numbers (even when they could). To sum it up: Oricon arbitrarily omits them, while Billboard arbitrarily approximates them (sometimes even in excess). I'd say the sooner we stop sweating over the accuracy of any of those numbers, the better.

yes, probably Unders whether infected or not ,are considered close contacts and probably need to isolate themselves as precaution to be on the safe side

They can just go Venue 101 with another song in the future, also just my opinion I think its better if a former group didn't come to the show for the first few episodes. We want to see their interaction but tbh it feels still to early.
