Single Nogizaka46 9th "Natsu no Free & Easy" (14/07/09)

I'm glad handshakes are back for good, seemingly. I want to go to an event someday, but the handshake can be a good fall back for fans who can't articulate anything; I'm not sure I'd be able to form a coherent sentence if I ever saw Maiyan up close.

Maybe seeing 48G go ahead with handshakes helped to sway them?

So compared to KizuKata, this is a decrease of 7,070 (117,543 - 110,473). For Oricon it is a decrease of roughly of 34k (456,014 - 422k). If assuming Soundscan rly does only count Type A/B/C sales, than 34,014 (Oricon) - 7,070 (Sounscan decrease) = 26,944 (HS sale drop?)

Considering all the factors working against this singles, (Ikuchan's absence, KizuKata's 22 rounds of HS sales, etc.) that's not too bad methink.

 

I agree. I think this is a successful release.

 

Officially in the announcement, the reason is because they have confirmed the security ( at the Ko-aku on Sunday in Yokohama ).

Also, Minami received block total increases, which might indicate that she's doing well despite the lack of completely sold out blocks. Renarin's blocks have all be transferred to late-coming 2nd gen Iori also.

The handshake results for this single are so weird! I think it is almost certainly a by-product of having so many rounds of sales in the last single, -63 overall at this stage. The leading 9 would seem to be extending their gap over everyone else, but then again they had all sold out for Kizuitara Kataomoi by the time of the first round of this single whereas everyone else would have had their fans split between the two. So there may or may not be something to read into that. As for everyone else, Takayama! Her sales have dropped by SO much. Otherwise, with the numbers all being so small it isn't really possible to analyse the non-top 9, except to say that Ikoma and Hori seem to be able to keep their heads above the waterline. Very strange.

 

A way I see the bunch of rounds for previous single is that maybe because KizuKata was such a hit (it did rly well on various digital charts, better than your average 46/48 singles), they want to prolong it sales as long as possible. Or it might be simply that SME suddenly crave money more than they did before & rly want the previous HS events to sale out somehow lol. xD

It's interesting how well the HS data correspond with the sale number tho. After three weeks, KizuKata's sale was 495,239, while for Free'n'Easy it's 455,478 (a side note after three weeks Free'n'Easy's sale haven't beaten KizuKata's 1st week sale lol ). The differences between the two singles' 3rd week sale is 39,761. 63 HS blocks times 500 slot each is 31,500. The differences between these two number is 8,261. & the decrease in 1st week Soundscan number is 7,070! The rest can be margin of errors. I find that interesting lol. It's fortunate that Soundscan numbers declined only very slightly.

 

So next, in order to pray for a better hit, the hit ritual will be a mass bungee or mass sky diving :v

Finally, after 10 weeks, this single reached 500K..precisely 502,258..

 

It's about time. Nogizaka has been consistently releasing really good music for quite a while.

 

Yes happy for reaching 500k! The steady good music of them is pure awesomeness. Natsu no Free & Easy might be not my fav song of them but the B-Side are perfect!
Congrats Nogizaka46 and can't wait to see 500k sales in first week!

 

Yeah, I'm not a fan of the A-side. But all the B-side are super..
