Album Nogizaka46 Best Album [Time Flies] (2021/12/15)

Not sure if this thread'll get much traffic, but I think it wouldn't be so bad to have one for this album all on it's own...

To commemorate their 10th anniversary, Nogizaka46 will have a "best of" album containing the singles songs from the first, Guru Guru Curtain, all the way through to the 28th, Kimi ni Shikarareta, as well as a few others, and some new songs, too. Of course, the most anticipated song is Ikuta Erika's graduation song, Saigo no Tight Hug. The album comes in several different editions plus also a limited cover edition featuring members in a solo shot.

It goes on sale December 15, 2021.

I was wondering if someone will create a separate thread for this since the others have it, even the Under Best Album. Well, just in time since the lead track will air later at ANN which everyone is hoping to get a MV but who knows. I think Ikuta will also get a solo song (shocked if not) so I look forward to the list of new songs we'll get in this Album.

Edit: Ok, first listen, my first impression of the song is it reminds me of that last High School quiz song Ashita ga Aru Riyuu (esp the chorus) but slower. As always, I need to listen to it more and it's good that it will be released on the 5th. So yeah, it's not a song I'm crazy about, but also not too bad. It could grow on me. I need that Ikuchan solo.

 

I wished the song could have show off Ikuchan's vocal more. But I guess it's not bad. Maybe the MV can add more...

 

At the moment I feel the same way. But I feel the same way every new release. Need more than the radio rip. Waiting for the MV.

 

Oh there's thread here, my first impression of the song is good. I like the song,its a sad song with sad lyrics that give that farewell grad feelings. I agree that it will be better if we have ikuchan solo part but overall I'd say its a proper grad song, cant wait for the mv.

Is it confirmed the lead song will get an MV?

 

A very bittersweet song, love it from the first listen. Yeah, it's great if this song gets an MV.

 

Yes. It was confirmed by them in ANN. Though Ikuchan was really holding back because she might spit out additional "spoilers".
They were "hinting" about "fairies" for the MV.

 

That's great. Ikuchan truly deserves it, and I hope we get plenty of live performances too during the year end music shows.
I'm really liking the song better than their previous single.

 

Where did you listen to it guys? I only found a distorted version of the recording in youtube.

I'm glad Ikuchan still make it to have a song to center, not treated like the other non-ace 1st gens lately. Also it would be sad, we can no longer hear Ikuchan's dominant vocal in Nogi songs. I feel like Nogi's song 'brand' will be a bit different without her existence, the same as Nogi's visual recogniziton become a bit faded by Maiyan's graduation.

Personal opinion guys, don't take it with your whole soul. I also have high hopes for the lowkey 'rebranding' with our new girls, they have great potential to relive Nogi.

In the description of that video, Presso finally revealed himself. He is actually Yachi Manabu, an arranger who worked for 48 and 46 groups. He said that the song that got him interested with Nogizaka is "Nandome no Aozora ka", which is the reason of the birth of his youtube channel. You can see it in his channel there that the Nandome cover was the first youtube video he uploaded. Apparently, year 2017, Sugiyama Katsuhiko saw the youtube channel and asked Presso to join him. And now, for this album and for Ikuchan's graduation, he worked together with Sugiyama as co-arranger for Saigo no tight hug. He was very thankful that this all happened because of his interest of Nandome and in Ikuchan too which triggered him to make a cover.

Great story. Nandome is the song that got me into Nogi as well. Until now I still rank it in my top 3 Nogi songs of all time. My top 3 list keeps changing, but whenever I listen to Nandome I just find that song is perfect in all aspect. It probably has the best bridge and climax out of all Nogi songs.

OMG me too, I remember their performance in Msute performance in mid-2015 and I remember that when I listened to Nandome I knew I had to know more about Nogi and herr I am now

I wonder if there's actually a Senbatsu for this song? Or is that all the members are included?

 

My guess is the front row definitely all 1ki and back row will follow kimi ni shikarareta senbatsu members. Just need to wait next week to find out.

 

Looking forward to the selected members. Will it really be 1st gen front? With 6 remaining 1st gen, will Hoshino be there placed in front? Will Wada be included just like 25th single? Seems like these graduations is her only opportunity to be Senbatsu. Will there be any a 3rd or new 4th gen replacing Kaz? Can't wait for next week.

Well, gonna join the party. I think I've seen a few other MV & performances when I started searching Nogizaka but AKB46 Show! (乃木坂46 Show!) Nandome Aozora ka performance is what sticks to my mind. I instantly love the song. Three 3 things I still remember from that video: (1) how elegant they look, (2) when Ikuta started singing, she sound so good I thought to myself this girl is different, and (3) I find Wakatsuki really gorgeous with her long ponytail and piercing eyes. Right then and there I jumped ship. I can't ignore this group anymore. What an amazing song. It's still my number one and now the girl that really got me to Nogizaka is graduating. Time really flies.
