our new regulars for Nogi Eigo 2nd Season: Shinuchi Mai, Saito Yuuri, Higuchi Hina

 

Hinachima, Maichun and Yuri Saito are the new regulars. Maybe in a year or two there will be another regular lineup change and the third generation will take over.

 

Yay! I hate to see this team leave, but I am very happy with the new regulars.

Hate to see the original members leave, as Nojo is one of my favourite members, but the I approve of the replacements.

I do find it sad that Kitano wasn't there for the episode too.

 

Maybe they replaced the originals because they weren't learning English at a fast enough pace and weren't very good at it either? Although the original cast provided hilarity, they, being the producers, would need for the cast to be somewhat capable at English. It's been 3 years and it seems like no one has progressed. Like sensei is terrible at his job.

Anyhow, I hope the show remains hilarious with the new cast.

I (roughly) translated the comments of the three new regulars.

Saito Yuuri

"I had the pleasure of appearing on Nogieigo one time, but the recording was the day after I had two of my wisdom teeth pulled. My face was really swollen… But, because the English lesson was really fun, I am really happy to be able to appear as a regular. Until now, because whenever I went overseas I somehow had a “feeling” for it, I want to get better at speaking and I want to get skilled in English. Among the new regulars, Hinachima (Higuchi) has a difference sense with people, so it seems like an interesting program to make."

Shinuchi Mai

"Because I had English lessons at school earlier than the others, I am a bit worried if I can remember it. But, the previous time I was on the program, my listening comprehension was quite alright. However, I find speaking to be difficult, so I want to strengthen that through this program. In 2020, the time of the Tokyo Olympics, I want to communicate with people from all over the world, and promote Nogizaka46. Among the three of us, I wonder if I am the reliable person. Hinachima (Higuchi) can say some crazy things so I am a little nervous, but I am looking forward to it as well."

Higuchi Hina

"I have been a guest 2 times until now, but those times where really traumatic… I could barely speak English, and although it is a variety program, I only gave generic replies. Because I am really happy to be a regular, I want to do my best to completely erase that trauma and to enjoy English. From the three of us, I think Maichun (Shinuchi) will lead the program. I look forward to Yuuri brightening up the place. I think I am more normal, unlike the other two, so I am afraid to disturb the program."

Nick is a great guy. Kind and down to earth. I really enjoyed him being the guest again on the Slope podcast. Just found out he's a Dissection fan as well, which is awesome.
