OK, basically, the given angle is 50, it's an isosceles triangle so the opposite angle is also 50. The angle at the top of the interior triangle would therefore be 80. As a result the angle opposite it would be 280. If you drew a line straight down the exterior triangle, it creates 2 isosceles triangles with a known angle of 140, making the other angles each 20. Add the two angles at the top of the exterior triangle together and you get 40.

Sorry about the lousy explanation, but it's really hard without showing it visually.

It was impressive though, my maths isn't great, so I'd definitely need to write it all down to work that one out.

 

It's quite simple to 'see' if you know your circle properties. The angle at the centre is 80 as you say, but then you simple halve it, because "the angle subtended at the centre of a circle is double the size of the angle subtended at the edge from the same two points".

 

Yeah, that's a much better explanation. Basically the UK education system only has Maths as a compulsory subject until 16 so a lot of British people don't understand geometric laws fully and have to do things the hard way like I just did.

Hello, guys, how are you? I know almost nothing about N46, but I've watched a few episodes of Nogizakatte Doko and I am enjoying it a lot and getting interested in N46. I have two questions about this show:
About Hashimoto Nanami, I was reading her page on wiki-stage48 and I found this really interesting:

• It was revealed on "Nogizakatte Doko" that she has a very sensitive nose and is able to identify things (Such as which member wore which clothing) by their smell

Does anybody know what episode was that?

About Shiraishi Mai, I laughed hard about the Shiraishi/Kuroishi joke in episode 140! Does Kuroishi-san appear on other episodes? Could someone point a few of them?

As for Kuroishi, it was in the ep130, when they judged Manatsu. I really like this joke too))

 

She appeared in the last week's episode #142 again!

 

Maybe she's just really, really, horribly bad at thinking under pressure. You can see the toll being an idol takes on studies though; everyone below Kazumin was below the national average unless I misunderstood. The fact that I could answer some of the questions faster than the members even though my Japanese is only JLPT 3 level is shocking.
