Prices for naming a star vary widely depending on how bright it is in the night sky/distance from Earth, just so you know.

 

And beyond that one sheet of paper, they mean jack sh*t.

That said. The star was not "named" after NGT/Ogiyuka. It was "adopted". Which basically amounts to the same as naming.

 

To the receiver it means a whole lot more though. For a fan to actually do that for her, lifts her spirits.

I've seen them gifted to famous people before not just in jpop, but it is still a really nice thought and the fans spend a lot time/money to give it to someone. It has a special meaning to the sender/receiver I think it's sweet and pretty cool

Anyone has found the star? When I searched for it on Google Sky by its declination, what I found was constellation Virgo, not Auriga.

 

It's only like similar next to gifting them Tokyo towers on showroom XD

But it's really what the heart counts. She is more than a star but actually the sun itself.

Ogiyuka's star's apparent magnitude is 6.27. It should be visible in rural places. Apparent magnitude is used to measure brightness of celestial object. The smaller apparent magnitude, the brighter a celestial object will be.
