Because Yukirin is right at the top.
She doesn't even have time for AKB, even less for a SG. But her name brings eyes to the group, so that's why she's there.

Naachan in STU can be benefitial for both though.
STU is not going to be performing in their own theatre from the very beginning.

Do you remember NGT's first months?
They did that debut performance in August, then some promotion stuff (like that Regina thing where Nakai fished all of Niigata) and little else.
Some performances in the SG theatres I think? But not much until they opened their theatre in January.

Naachan isn't as widely recognised as Yukirin, so for her to get an opportunity where she'll be able to be the spokesman of a whole new group is great.
And for STU, to have the fans of a rising star like Naachan from the very beginning is just as great.

I see no downside to this, tbh.

I think Yuihan's kennin with NMB48 went over pretty well? And those kennins to SG that later were made into transfers like Miorin and Oba Mina?

Can't wait to see Nana rocking a marine style uniform for STU48! (Ocean theme at the very least because IT'S THE BOAT GROUP! )

Sure. Anyway, she didn't announce graduation and that's really good. I hope she's managing to deal better with both illness and psychological so she continues in the group for more years.

This summer is going to be busy for her anyway. Ranking in senbatsu (she can't go down!) + STU... yup, she's gonna have fun lol

I was very excited reading the news... until i read Sasshi is going to be a kennin member as well. Isn't she going to steal Naachan's thunder?. I know Sasshi is busy as hell, but still doesn't make too much sense for me.

 

Better question, why would they decide who the captain will be when no one passed yet?

 

First, i'm glad she isn't graduating. Okada Nana is one of the biggest hope of AKB right now.

Also, i'm convined her kennin will be a meaningful one. Her character suits being a leader and Captain. She has the experience to put STU in the right path.

Probably it would have been better to Isseki, like Kitahara Rie, so she can be 100% for STU. But technically kennin is enough to share her experience with the new girls.

I have no idea how Okada nana/Sasshi pairing will turn out. They have very different personalities, but they respect each other. We will see.
