Since people are paying some attention to her now thanks to the 14th single senbatsu selection, I thought I'd update this thread with some news about the work Aapon is doing recently.

Update as of April 6th

Shows:

- She appeared in the 149th episode of Manabukun, aired on March 31st, which can be watched here: link to videodouga
However, she didn't get a lot of screentime and only spoke once, so it's not really worth watching it just for her (it is worth watching in general though)

- on April 5th, she appeared on the 14th episode of NMB no Yattande Tuesday, which can be watched here: link to 48videodouga
Here she was much more prominent, talks a lot, I recommend it if you want to see more of her

I first noticed Aapon during Janken a few years ago (the okonomiyaki theme). It was the smile that did me in.

Whoa Aapon at 14th in the Preliminary ranking! ^^

 

I'm trying to stay away from any prelim news until I can watch it myself, but wow, that's amazing! I have this feeling she'll end up where Tani Marika did and rank in UG. 44th not 14th. I got all excited. I am the dumb and I somehow was watching last year's announcement. The screen resolution plus the announcements of graduated members wasn't a tip off.

Anyway, really, congrats to Aapon!

Being in the top 16 of prelims is a pretty good sign that she'll rank in the final result. I'm rooting for her!

Congrats Aapon!!! NMB may still lag behind SKE and HKT in total numbers of ranking members, but they made a lot of progress, and Aapon's huge jump is the biggest part. She almost had as many votes as Mirurun, just incredible.

 

She made the biggest thing I saw yesterday during SSK! I can't say anything more. I'm proud of you. Welcome to the Undergirls. You really deserved it.

Well, It's actually NOT sudden if NMB documentaries are used as reference.
She has long since having solid underground homegrown fanbase before, ranked in prelim last year. Kind of Tomu...

...Except she was not neglected. Takeshi Kaneko already considered her in the Must Be Now senbatsu, but alas, sickness hinder her breakthrough.

I suggest to watch her performance in Team M stage. She always deliver.
