Wow that ranking was pretty shocking in a lot of ways. Lots of shakeups in the Top 12.

First, I have to say that mNet really did succeed in sabotaging the j-trainees by basically not showing them in episode 6. I'm positive Mako could have made it if she had gotten a little bit of focus, but she was almost cut out. Chiyori probably had a chance too if her group was shown in episode 6 instead of 7. There are now only 3 Japanese girls in the top 12 (down from 5) and many of the remaining Japanese girls in the top 30 are almost at the bottom. At this rate only Nako and Sakura will make the final group, unless they give Hii-chan some focus to keep her in as well.

Second, I do not get the Hyewon hype at all. Yeah, she's pretty and she seems nice. But she can't rap. At all. She's completely expressionless in both her face and her vocal tone. It seems the Korean voters are easily swayed by editing and all the focus she got, because if they were voting based on performance she'd be nowhere near the top 30, much less the top 3.

I am very happy about Park Haeyoon's rise and Kim Nayoung making the cut. They both were exceptional in Meri Kuri. Nako at number 2, well, I can't really complain about that. Also happy Miu went up enough to stay in.

There's no way Nako looking like a complete sweetheart handing over her center position to someone else didn't entice a lot of votes too.

Its different, Miyu nearly got eliminated when its still 12 pick while Guanlin's drop is caused by the change from 11 pick to 2 pick. Its gonna be much more difficult for Miyu to rise than Guanlin (whose fans basically got too confident in his ranking (#2) and use their only 2votes to save their 2nd and 3rd picks)

I know, that scene made me like her a whole lot more, too (I'm weak to edits)... what I'm mad about is that Miyu could've handed over her inner organs or whatever and we wouldn't ever know because they never give her screentime. :(

Chaeyon is the most talented member in this competition, and she was dropped for Minju? I've lost interest in this show. Jo Yuri and Hitomi in top 12 and Jang Wonyoung/Yabuki Nako at ranks 1 and 2 are the only redeeming qualities of this episode.

I can't understand what level of deaf one has to be to think that Hyewon's rap was anywhere near Minyoung's... and yet Hyewon is at 3 and Minyoung is out. This show is a joke at this point.

Biggest gainer Chowon - not a surprise while Noe lost the most ranks. I think it would be more difficult for Miyu to survive the next round. I am glad Hyewon is in but 3 is too high. It just goes to show that screentime and a good story really helps. Getting shown in the first week really makes a difference.

My heart broke for Instructions team. Massacred

So final group would probably be Sakura, Nako and 1 more.

Thanks for correcting me. I just realized it.

If sae was not able to get the benefit, it looks like that shes out depending on the votes of Yujin.

Its the same as SSK, do you have top 16 talents in 48G? Absolutely not. People are going to vote for who they like, be it visuals, talent, vairety skills, storyline, personality.

I was not prepared for moe, myao, and Miyu massive drops. I don’t care at all for minju. Hyewon is fine for me, because she managed to make herself a storyline by picking rap position lol meanwhile minju is gorgeous but...doing nothing.

Time to completely redo my twelve pick I guess...

True. It is after all a reality competition. It's very rare in reality competitions where the technically proficient contestants end up winning the competition.

I also feel the other J girls would have had a chance to stay a bit longer if they got aired first. I do have a feeling maybe Yena and Chayeon really dropped and needed the push so Mnet made it happen. 1 week makes a huge difference

Kpop in general is much more talent oriented than 48G. I didn't know anything about this show in the beginning, but I expected it to be at least somewhat talent oriented, which is was up until this episode. Yeah, of course if the whole thing was based on talent, rankings would be much different. In fact, there would be no need to vote because the expert judges could just determine the group for themselves. The way I see it, voters balance talent with personality/looks, and I don't think that balance was done right is all.

Its never been like that to begin with with all 3 seasons, yes there are talented people but there are always not so talented ones who made it.

Episode was a massacre lol, when Moe was announced everyone was like "Yep, shit is going down today".
I don't even know what to say about Minju, she's only whatever for me, and I realy expect the better for everyone who makes the debut, but I guess I'm butthurt since she stole that bonus from the eitos lol.
Kang-chan and Satominami tho, just marry already. Also happy for Bananayoung, she can still carry on the quest to collect the lolis in PD48 lol

Kpop is actually pretty much visual oriented too. Yes Kpop is more talent oriented than 48G but K-netz are quite brutal when it comes to looks.

Take SM for example, looks has always been the #1 factor in accepting trainees. Even their idols themselves admit to this about SM. In Kpop, their idols spend a crazy amount of time practicing and improving before they debut. Some even train 8-10 years before they debut. They're perfected before they are released into the world.

I think with produce, we can see the pre-perfected idol, so it's easier to see that visuals actually really matter a lot to k-netz.

Quick question though, so where is Sato Minami? I think she wasn't spotted leaving Korea right? Did she run away with Hyewon? lol
