rewatched 4th bdl last night and just realized it.. i'm usually skipped the talking vtr part..
but here is my question, does iori used to audition 1st gen part? this is pretty sure her..

 

Yep. She didnt pass first gen audition. You'll find her in Nogi's documentary movie.

 

I asked about this page or 2 back, but never really got a response. Yours is the first.

You never really hear about her as failing 1st Gen auditions like you do with Karin. Amazing that she got a second chance and also to enter almost a year later than the other 2nd Gens. She got thrown into senbatsu soon after, too.

I wish we could hear more of her story.

Nogi girls often invited as guest model for fashion mag. That's part of management push to make way for the girl to become more close with model contract.

I found Iori along Maichun in andGirl. Forget which edition, but I believe it's recent edition.

Management try to promote this girl. But she not get it yet. Some theories said that popularity have to do with it. A lot of magazine cease publication. Some of mags try to saving their life by hiring popular idol.

Everytime I look at her photoshoots, it extremely baffles me how she is not an exclusive model already! I recalled in an old Nogibingo episode, the magazines people were eyeing on her seriously!
If she were overseas, I think she has chances to sell like crazy. Is her traditional Asian look a double-edged sword in her own country?? I am extremely stressed out for this gorgeous girl

 

^ I also wonder the same thing. I really love Iori's beauty. She kinda reminds me of Takei Emi.
Maybe she is just not popular enough that magazine didn't use her for long. And the reason she is not popular I guess is because she is not that good in expressing herself. And she was not pushed by management either.

 

Yeah, I agree. I also dig some info about her. So it seems she joined the 2nd gen later than the rest, but she is among the few ones promoted earlier. And in just a few while she was in senbatsu too. She used to be an MC for a show with another comedian, I think? So I guess the management was planning to push her at some point, but they are not putting too much effort to market it. Well, when the 2nd gen comes in, people were still not familiar with the 1st gen yet, so I guess the 2nd gen comes too early (or lack of marketing to be exact).

I agree that she isn't expressing herself well. It seems like this issue happens a lot among the Unders.
