Congrats. She will be pretty busy this year and next year. Stage, musical, and narrator on NHK program.
Hope she will stay longer in Nogi.

 

Haven't seen her perform in a musical play yet so very excited and quite curious how she'll fare

The stage production of Rebecca, which has been adapted many times over the years, and a 10th anniversary of Japanese version will run in 2018 Winter.

The main cast for the musical adaptation of Daphne du Maurier's Rebecca are revealed at the official web page today. Sakurai Reika, who is captain of Japanese female idol group Nogizaka46, triple-casting the protagonist "I" with Hirano Aya and Otsuka Chihiro.

The musical "Rebecca" (Japanese version) is based on VBW's adaption, and produced by Toho Stage, and is scheduled to be performed at Tokyo, Aichi, Osaka and Fukuoka from December 2018 to February 2019.

She will miss alot year end music show. There are fans who affraid that she (and Iku, since Great Comet start on January) might cannot participate Kohaku.
But even if so, it worth, since it's a big deal.

 

I guess it's too important for them not to miss kouhaku
Rebecca will have a 4-day pre-run early December then full run January.
Their health is also a concern.

Talked about the weather, it was cold the other day.
She has come to like Kumo ni Nareba Ii be it listening or singing
She was surprised when she learned about her role in Rebecca

To be able to work with the wonderful cast
To be a part of the Toho musical
To perform in theatre Creation

For me it's a wall that I could barely overcome.
I want to challenge myself with this beautiful work (Rebecca)

This year, with these two works I will do my best to show you different sides of me
