Single Sakurazaka46 11th [UDAGAWA GENERATION] (2025/02/19)

This is insane, even backs members sold out in 2nd round. I still remember when only Run and Hono managed to sell something in 1st round...just woaaah.

• I'm amazed how Reina managed to keep her popularity after her hiatus. With a competition like this, sometimes a hiatus can cost a lot. I'm glad she is now healthy and didn't lose her hype, I was afraid management and fans would forget her.
• Proud of my girl Itoha, I've been following her since her backs days, she is very aidoru. I still believe she will skyrocket some day.
• Konnagi.....she deserved better
• Marinosu is only getting prettier and more interesting and yet....

 

If they really choose senba member based on meguri sales, next single will be:

• Yuzu stay at back
• Rika out - Riko In or Rika stay senbatsu - Riko stay Backs

It would be fun if next single they send Matsuri to backs and put Riko in senbatsu.

 

18 members sold out by the second round of sales. Amazing! If the 11th single is a good song with a good MV, the sky's the limit.

After the 4gens join, perhaps the senbatsu will be enlarged.

 

If the 4ki's are as good as the 3ki's, the 13th single's senbatsu will be a blood bath (I doubt any 4gener will be in the 12th single senbatsu)!

 

Welp the song is so bad. even worse than Hirate's Fault. I like their A-sides from ban to iwtc but this song is another level of worse than my least favorite single hirate's fault. i do not getting my hope very high for the b-sides since generally their b-sides are weak and generic unless someone big graduate like risa, sugai, yui their send off song is kami-level. My eyes on you hono. If kyocera dome is your last appearance with sakurazaka please make it spectacular

 

I think at this point it's pretty clear that Matsuri is in senbatsu only bc she's captain.

 

Captain position grants perma senbatsu position in sakamichi. I don´t remember seeing any captain out of senbatsu.

Hopefully the already announced 2nd album will mark some changes in senbatsu. Otherwise, good luck to 4ki.

Meguri - Senbatsu corelation has really become a vicious circle, hasn´t it?

 

I don't think it is pure only for meguri result
They know the actual data which members profit more, which means some member might not a hit in meguri but she gets a model gigs or a CF or drama usually will get push more, aside that there is different numbers in sales according to their face also might give the agency insight. So many more that we casual fans can't access, but meguri result is the easiest we can take and more public... and probably usually align with other statistics.
Also they give it to members with potential & hard working as opportunity and motivation

 

i'd love to agree but i also think matsuri appears on tv the most, so it's only right she be included there. Outside of Run and Karin she's probably the most known sakurazaka member even if her popularity isn't sky high with the general fandom. Rena and Hono are the only members that hold a candle to her in terms of media presence imo.
It's always good to have 'media' members in senbatsu. taking her out would be a mistake, unless they intend to make someone else a media star, which doesn't seem to be the case as they're so focused on performance lives these days.]

Meguri results are absolutely fantastic. Honestly not sure how the girls not selling out as much can gain momentum at this point unfortunately.. i think mgmt really need to push this more if they want to bring sales up because simply adding more members doesn't help these girls who struggle to sell out. iirc Hinata's had a point where every single member sold out, so its possible to do with the right marketing for even the less popular members

 

I think you forgot Ten as another member that can hold that candle...

Why all of them have mellow face when the song was upbeat genre?!!?!

Also today they appear on Love it!!! I am really happy that they finally bring Onuma, Hikarin, and Marino!!!

 

Even it's look cheaper than their other a-sides I really enjoy to watch Udagawa! I think this MV is the most enjoyable MV (eacept Samidareyo perhaps).

Costumes look so funny and I like it

 

Wow this song's dance routine looks very physically demanding. MV is very interesting although I am having trouble recognising some of them during the modern art segment haha.

Now I kinda hope that one of the photo series will be of those costumes.

 

Well, this MV and dance choreography successfully change my mind

it is a brave move from management to try this concept (it turns out different than akb's feel if you watch the MV)
And challenge how versatile the sakurazaka46 member.. and they nailed it, especially hikaru.

It's good to be different once in awhile

 

• MV looks really fun, but unfortunally it's another MV with poor screentime distribution. Front girls were the only ones who got something.

• The end with the costumes was peak. Who would have thought that saku channel video with Miichan and Fuyuka had some foreshadowing.

• Halloween Night vibes

 

"Halloween Night vibes" is the first thing that came to my mind too! Certainly something different for sure. Hard to tell who was who on the second part with all the heavy makeup. Matsuda's pose made it into the MV? LOL
Looks like the girls had tons of fun filming the MV. Renaa being shot from the circus cannon was just hilarious!

 

I never knew I needed to see Renaa "fly out of a canon" until now. And her kotsu-kotsu at the end. She was sparkling throughout the entire MV
