Sasshi running for sousenkyo this year is not a good thing for fans. It makes the thrill of victory pointless, as she hasn't any rival that can challenge her.

Perhaps she did it to advertise for STU, but it makes the sousenkyo system dull. What if Yukirin et Mayu doesn't participate? It would make sasshi participation even more pointless.

i'm disappointed.

 

some interesting info from SR:

Sasshi is on a cabbage diet again ^^;
she shot for 3 shows (5-6 hours) that's why she was tired.

Sasshi talks about SSK starting from 13:30!
she says that she really doesn't want to participate, but since there are other things to consider like TV broadcast, etc. she will participate.
she also denied rumors that this will be her last SSK. she said that she won't do a "last SSK" card. all she said is that she wishes this SSK would be her last. she participates every time with a wish that this SSK will be her last. she already discussed this wish with big wigs and AkiP, so she hopes that this SSK will be her last.
she says that management isn't forcing her (and I assume others) to participate, but everyone feel like they have to protect the group, so they participate. (which basically means that even without direct enforcement from management, top girls peer pressured to participate because, otherwise the group will lose a lot of money and concern from public).
Sasshi also said that she doesn't think of graduation. if it was easy for her to graduate, she'd graduate a long time ago.

That's the thing. If she doesn't feel comfortable with graduation yet she won't consider it.

Seriously, it's a good chain of thought. It's not like she won't have a fantastic career post-graduation (because she totally will), it's just that she doesn't feel like her job as an idol is quite over yet and that's ok. Maybe she feels like she needs to do much more for HKT and AKB as a whole and her sense or responsibility is stopping her from making a career-changing decision like that. She has a lot in her hands and she's the kind of person who wants to carry things out to completion and do it well.

she wasn't pleased with her performance, since she wasn't feeling well, but oh well, I am sure she'll do great in the future.
man, it's mind-blowing how she leaves such great impression with her performance, that she gets promoted to regular or even MC after appearing in one episode. after her great selection special in KonKura she was invited as temporary substitute MC and then became a fullfledged MC. she became regular in Ariyoshi Hanseikai even though there were "no room" for her. and now after those couple great AruAru Gijidou specials she becomes an MC of it's successor show...

I think in a past SR she gave a more direct comment about management stating they don't want top members to skip. This one seems more lenient.

Mayu fans on Twitter are spreading news that management is forcing her to run this year. I think Mayu, Yukirin, and Sayaka all stated last years were their last. Now it seems that's not the case, so who knows what policy management has. Perhaps the policy is like when a kid tells their parents that they don't want to attend college. You have the right to choose whether to attend, but if you don't, you know the parents will be severely disappointed.

With all these new information, i'm leaning more towards for Sasshi to run again in 2018 because she can't just leave STU in its infancy. I also think this year none of the 2016 Kami7 will skip the election.

 

Try convincing the management that the money pot/s don't want to help them earn more profits .......

The only thing running through their head is they will make a loss ( yes there's profit but ..... not enough ... hence a loss )

Sadly, much as I like to let others to be top 10 .... it's just not that simple as telling them ... ok gals, it's the next batch to seize the glory of the ssk and help out the group while the current tops can support them from behind ....

That said aside .... It's really tough for the top gals when it comes to these situations.
Not only they have to lead the group, some of them have to juggle with their branch as well.
Now combine with the requirement of the the tasks and the effects of the decisions they make.... not easy indeed.

Hopefully the gals will be able to handle the stress well and proceed with a good decision.

 

Finally I read all the news (well, Google Translator Listen read it to me) ^^;
I'm so proud of Sasshi how she gets MC jobs after appearing as a special guest just one time. And it's easy to understand: she's good at what she does! I'm looking forward this show with Imada Kouji, those previous Aru Aru "Bunshun" were great! At last, let me check FNS Fes. ^^

It would be great if another girl got the throne by surpassing her, but I think it's unlikely.

With STU coming up (quickly), I think we got at least two more years with her.

 

Yeah I feel that too. But its going to defeat their purpose. It's that old fear that next gen can't rake in the money like the vets - a vicious cycle, the more focus on vets, the less the popularity of next gen.

Setsu Shinya (AKB Newspaper/Nikkan Sports reporter) talks about Sasshi's schedule starting this April. she'll have 6 regular MC shows in addition to her other semi-regular shows and tanpatsu specials. he heard from TV Asahi staff (probably Aruaru Bansankai) that it became very hard to find a free time in her schedule.
btw, in the latest Odekake Goto was grumpy that they have to film early in the morning because of Sasshi's schedule as well.
I just hope she knows her limits and won't overdo it...
