it's the time of the year when hosts for Kouhaku Uta Gassen are being announced (first 10 days of November). in this article journalists speculate if Sasshi could become Kouhaku host for the Red team this year.

it's not the first time when various people mentioned Sasshi as future Kouhaku MC, but I think it's still not the right time. if she indeed becomes Kouhaku host, it'll happen only after her graduation.

 

I get a feeling it may be Sasshi's rival .. umm what's that gals name .... something haru ... that girl who also appears at Wide show .

It's gonna be hard coz usually the popular / busy members seldom appear in akbingo & nowadays akbingo is geared towards young gen.

 

Sasshi's main rivals are actresses (especially those who played main roles in NHK's asadoras) - it was a trend in recent years. but since they kinda get criticism for not so good hosting, media speculate that this trend could be broken soon, and that's why they name Sasshi as a possible candidate.

so yeah, Sasshi and Naomi are minority, their chances are pretty slim.

well, that's because she wasn't in it for years now. there are many reasons for it, like she's busy, not AKB anymore and not young generation, who they tend to use nowadays... she wasn't even present in recent episodes of "AKB vs HKT". I think the last time she was on Bingo is when they had a Lucky Girl Ranking in 2014, but even before that she was in only couple episodes a year from 2012 (lucky girl rankings and AKB vs HKT).

I bet Sasshi's the 48 member who's got stuffs for us to watch the most (I don't really follow other members to compare tho), but nowadays her specialty is strongly based on talk with few or almost none corporal jokes like in her days of Akbingo (she's an adult now and not a comedian to do so all the time either ).

@Mayoyo These episodes of AKB vs HKT with Miichan and Sasshi leading each team are must-see if you haven't seen them yet.

Maybe it's still early for Sasshi to host a Kouhaku but I'm totally fine if she does it while she's still in the group. I'd pay attention in the whole show for the first time. lol

@sorasan Do you mean that press conference when the participant artists are announced or is there something on the same day of Kouhaku (a pre-show like you said)? Because I think never paid attention if there is.

@fatrain I always forget to say, your photo gallery is great, very neat! Good job!

 

It's more like backstage where the guests meet up with the mc ( like in an interview ) and they sort out their acts & speech, etc.

this is mainly offtopic, but also kinda related to Sasshi. Takeyama was giving a lecture on how to survive in showbiz for 30 years on Geinou Gijuku Daigaku (abema tv show for female talents), and his description of the most dangerous position in showbiz was very similar to Sasshi's
probably one of the best lectures on that show so far.
