when I heard the news I wasn't really sad or surprised, since fans speculated before the concert that Sasshi could announce graduation. I was like "huh, so the time has finally come..." only after reading fan comments and hearing HKT members on Sasshi's SR (especially Hana, she's such a good kid) I got teary eyes.
still not really sad. probably because not much will really change for her "at home" fans like me - her only idol activities we could enjoy were very rare performances on music shows or lives. on the contrary, I'm looking forward to this new stage in her life and career, it could be even more eventful and exciting than it was - she could now dedicate more time to her other - TV and producer - jobs. and what's even more exciting is that we will probably still see her interacting with other members (on TV shows or as producer), so this great aspect of her idol life probably won't be lost completely as it usually happens with graduated members.

she's been producing idol group =LOVE, Last Idol units and soon will produce =LOVE's sister group, so yeah, after graduation she'll be doing what she's already doing - appearing on TV and producing idols. and who knows, maybe some occasional acting, director Fukuda already asked her if she'll be an actress after grad

 

Truly a lost to all the 48-groups. Sasshi is like a treasure. We've gotten so many great memories because of her. I'm glad she's going out in her own terms tho and not rushing anything. She genuinely wants to make sure her last 5 months with HKT and AKB special. I hope we get a splendid concert and last single for her. Not only does she deserve it, but she's worked very hard to maintain her popularity. And it won't be the last time we'll see her.

Damn it. Guess I'll have to really follow =LOVE lolol. Nothing wrong with them, but their songs just haven't captured me, but I trust Sasshi to improve them tbh. And she'll be on TV a lot too. So while I'm sad I'm not overly disappointed.

I don't think anybody could say it was unexpected, maybe only the time.

I've seen there is some talks in Akicha fandom that they want to see a last version of Enjou Rosen. But if Akicha are willing to return I don't know. But there is also another wish. Sasshi is the last remaining member from the legendary Kimi no koto ga suki dakara. THAT would be something to show at the graduating concert, but if it's possible to gather the old gang again is a very big question.

 

I couldn't agree more. The feeling is the same.

 

Come July, there will be two ex-AKB living legends: Maeda Atsuko and Sashihara Rino.

I was talking about her career as an entertainer, not as a BTS producer.

 

it can't be helped really, it's been known for a long time that it's extremely hard to book big venues nowadays, everything is booked at least half a year in advance. that's why big members have such long waiting list for graduation and still don't get the venues "they deserve".
Sasshi also confirmed it in her SR, she actually wanted a graduation concert in Fukuoka, but booking there is especially difficult. she could probably wait longer, but the timing with "the last idol of Heisei" was just too good to miss. her ability to make headlines is ingenious

In practice, what I'm going to miss the most is Sasshi's appearances in music shows like Ongaku no Hi, Kayousais, etc. Not because of the main performances, but rather collaborating with other artists, the talk segments, as well as the backstage interviews which were great. Because although she'll continue to be a TV person, she'll be more of a tarento than an artist. It'll be like watching future MCU movies without Stan Lee's cameos.

The bright side is, perhaps now Sasshi can be invited to host Kouhaku! (Take note, NHK!)

 

Will she be graduating as a member only or is she quitting the theatre manager job as well? Tbh, it would be nice if she stays with the management (maybe becomes Akip assistant/deputy Sasship)

 

^ it wasn't said explicitly, but I think graduation from a group means severing all ties (think Takamina, for example).
I can see only one possible way of her remaining as staff - it's if AkiP realizes his plan and appoints Sasshi as his successor.

This is a sad day for me, but i know soon or later this will happen, netherless in akb or not sasshi will always be my no.1 idol

 

Also, it'll be harder to see Sasshi with Tamori. They must put they two together somewhere! Any show is okay.

About 20 years from now, they will present in variety shows: "Top idols in Heisei era looked like this."
