One of my favorite songs... I hope they continue to perform it. Not sure which members would fit that song the best though.

Well, we'll have to see. I doubt Thursday's live stream will have any subtitles, but I hope they add them if they repost it as a regular video. I'm hoping she calls Manatsu to help celebrate their birthdays together.

Obviously, you can't compare Yamashita with Maiyan. It's unfair to the both of them. I associate Yoda with Nanase's positions, and I feel that Yamashita can be associated with Maiyan in terms of where she would be in senbatsu. I feel Yamashita will get a similar treatment as Maiyan where she doesn't get as many centers as she should or she gets not as 'pushed.' Just a feeling I get from the last few years...

I don't think they fit the song though. I don't consider both Yamashita and Yoda good singers, and I do think the song needs a certain vocal level in order to deliver the emotion. So how about Kaki Haruka and Ozono Momoko?

 

That's as good as any. You picked singing ability. I picked what I think is their position. Someone else or management may have a different criteria. It would've been nice to have had the summer tour as it would've sorted out who gets which songs. I hope we find out at the 9th Year Bday Live (go away rona!).

 

Imo, Sakura will take some esp those W-centers with Nanase (Ashu x Saku) and I can see Kaki on Girls rule. Momoko fits very well with Shiawase.

I don't think every criteria is valid though when we ask the question 'who would fit that song the best?'. The position of a certain member doesn't say anything about how much a member will do a song justice.

 

For me I would pick Yamashita and Endo for that song. Both are pretty good dancers. Endo has more similar image to Nanase rather than Yoda. And Yamashita just have that 'pretty and elegant' aura like Maiyan. She may not sing well but she would be ok in studio with some 'works' and they don't have to sing live anyway.

 

This is just my opinion, but my answer to that question is always "Yes," meaning any member. I'm a terrible MD, and I believe that all members will try their best to make their performance of a Nogi song the best it can be. All except Manatsu! (LOL! j/k if given the task to be serious, she'll definitely be serious.)

Certainly, there's always a particular type of performance you may want for a song, but for me, it almost always starts and stops with it being done by a Nogizaka member. That's why I am a terrible MD.
