I honestly doubt that the japanese fans are as caught on the SNSD thing as overseas fans, but I don't know so whatever. I think this is a great unit vocally, and all of the songs in the single are very very good. The drama is adorable, the girls are super sweet whenever they are on TV and all this promotion definitely helped. I'm SUPER happy about this, because I can see this unit becoming my favorite AKB48 spinoff. [party]

Oh and I think my Japanese sensei is an AKB48/French Kiss fan... I came into class today and he started talking to me about them and asking me about all the AKB subgroups [rofl]

And OMG I'm still spazzing about the drama... it's so... fuzzy and heartwarming somehow...

 

lol. no no no. its only us foreigners that are comparing that korean group with french kiss. i don't think jap fans care at all. they will bash the korean group alright, but they won't buy the single just for that reason. its akb versus that other group for them, and right now i don't think its even a competition.



and hmm.. is everybody forgetting how much popularity yukirin has as a gravure idol? i really think that helped. you go in a 7-11 store these days, and dvds of yukirin and tomochin will usually be there to greet you. hehe.

 

what the... I must have been going to the wrong 7-11s when I was in Japan! I didn't see that at all

... back on topic, still waiting for my copies (I got A & B) to get here. Did SAL to save a few bucks but man, the wait is killing me! Plus, I want to hang that promo poster and see the comedy skit that's on the B edition

As far as SNSD goes, why even bring them in the discussion? I heard their big in Korea, but that's Korea. their not even worth mentioning in the AKB world.
