About time, really. Let's see what image NMB wish to present themselves through their song styles. Hopefully there's at least some differentiation, like there is presently between the three of AKB48, SKE48 and SDN48.

Ah... just checked up their website. So they're a record label company - thought they were the talent management agencies or something, given the Kyoraku holdings partnership. 'Cos I couldn't find any direct links to them from the NMB48 website.

But given their sister group's successes, you'd imagine they'd want to release their first single sooner or later in order to capitalise on their newfound surge in popularity? It's not really about impatience, more about "it's going to happen sooner or later".

 

no, they ARE a talent management company (especially owarai, aka comedians). They also have a couple of record labels (like Johnny's Jimusho is a male idol management agency, that also own two record labels, J-Storm and Johnny's Entertainment).
People in the West usually are oblivious to how HUGE Yoshimoto Kogyo is.

 

Oh, so it's that type of management structure (akin to H!P as well, if I'm not mistaken). Fair enough.
I was about to say they looked like bit/minor players, judging from how "sparse" their website looked, but apparently I'm far from the truth...
If they're big, then let's see how they handle NMB48's single release, in regards to promotions etc. Especially compared to avex, since everyone here hates them or something

The timings kinda similar to when Ske got their first single though isn't it?

 

Firstly, it better have all 16 N members.
Secondly, the fact that it's different from Tsuyoki makes me anticipate it less, unless it's something really really good that I've never heard about.
I just realized something too. NMB is the first 48 group to have 2 recycled stages for starters, that also makes it the first (exc. SDN ofc) out of the 3 to have a single before an original stage.

Akimoto should seriously get a new lyricist.
