Joking aside, I don't think TGSK alone choose the ace, probably the top management staffs (AkiP, TGSK and a few more people) if not AkiP himself alone. After all, if it's TGSK's decision, Mayuyu wouldn't even be in AKB right now (I like you TGSK, but I still can't understand how you didn't like Mayuyu's audition photo...)

I'm wondering about this single, btw. Was it a planned move, or a decision started when Mayuyu got 2nd? I hope it's the former so the song / PVs quality can be good as they have enough time to plan the promotions, record the song and film the PVs, etc.

Don't mean to be annoying, but just remember that a product listing at HMV Hong Kong is far from an official confirmation of this single. I know quite often these rumours turn out to be true, but not always

Agree with petelechem - no official announcement yet, so like the news about a new album of AKB in August this needs to be taken with a grain of salt. (By the way, the AKB new album thread was locked, but not this one?)

If this turns out to be true, this would mean Mayuyu is the member who releases her 2nd single the fastest, beating both Acchan and Tomochin. Something to do with generation change?

oh wow that's fast! hopefully it is much better then her fist single. I don't even listen to any of the songs from that single anymore.
