I wish they waited and released the single closer to their anniversary in October. Now they have bad sales, their best HS seller and center missing from many handshake events and promotions, etc. Then again, AKB management would probably not be too happy about that since it would be too close to their next single

They went all out. Oba Mina got into senbatsu. Kaotan decided to run. Jurina won and Dasu is the runner up. 180k is pretty decent considering how much they have spent on SSK. I'm positive, the single will sell at least 350K in total.the kids are all right

So after first listen to full versions, I think I like most of the songs in this single, save for theater ed’s B-side because CD is not here yet. So far, KII = Passion for You > S = Ikinari = E > Laviere music wise.

I really love the instrumental for E but the melody not so much. Ikinari reminds me of 1!2!3!4! Yoroshiku with how strange it sounds, and also it and S song are catchy as hell. Laviere is not my cup of tea but it is objectively good. KII and Passion for You win for being the most well-rounded songs, part of the reasons being KII having the nicest vocals in SKE now. And idk why but SKE’s CM songs are always very pleasant, maybe to make up for the lack of MV ?

P/s: KII’s lyrics should be enough for all the anti wow. The straightforward sass is just very KII, very SKE, I can hear Churi and Kaotan and Akarin in them so clear.

I guess they‘re fine, with the current sales of SG and their own sales(if you look back at the last Singles of SKE)

Yuki-chan sells out really fast this single. She has a 0.7/18, the only sold out slot after 3rd round. And in 4th round I failed an application for her, whereas I won all my tickets for other members including senbatsu.

!!! All of Passion for You songs are 10/10 honestly.

Not only the songs are good, but the title always sounds nice. It went from Observatory without Telescope to Magical Meteor Shower to Symphony of Flower Fragrance. Shame that they can't make any of them a single since PFY senbatsu and management pick ones literally never match lol.

So it’s 243103 for Oricon if my calculation is not wrong. And according to Billboard, sales are 272666.

    From MunoIro thread:

so, does anyone has an idea what caused the almost 40K drop in sales? Sure, Jurina's HS cancellation was expected to have an effect in sales but 40K?

@Jurinavenclaw I think mostly due SSK. The event was just a few weeks ago and SKE wota were pushed to their (money) limits:fear:

Fewer Jurina’s HS slots + late HS sales + SSK.

For Jurina, when Aya-chan graduated, I read some fans estimated that it would be about 10k ~ 15k CD lost (don’t ask for source it has been too long), so given that top members have same number of slots it was at least half that amount gone with Jurina. SSK affects a lot but not as much as people think. The drop is less than expected given SKE’s success in ssk (HKT and NGT drop 30k, NMB 120k for pre-ssk single). It is also still too soon to tell because unless we know HS results of girls who did well in SSK it’s hard to conclude much (I expect 5th round to be open next week so we’ll know more by then)
