Re: AKB Fans in Australia? http://www.nihonbeat.com/2013/06/10/mae ... cumentary/ My eternal oshi, coming to the Down Over. .... In Tasmania... You've gotta be kidding me. Please make a quick stop at Sydney after the filming. Hahahaha
Re: AKB Fans in Australia? My guess is that Acchan will probably head to Cradle Mountain and its surrounds. Having said that, a) I've never been to Tassie b) half of Tasmania is pretty much forest and wildlife anyway. Oh and by the way, in terms of hypothetical airline routes, I'd hazard a chance and suggest she'll only make either a brief stop in Sydney (Qantas or JAL direct from Tokyo obviously) or directly transfer domestic to Qantas onwards to Hobart. Good luck trying to stalk catch her, fellas
Re: AKB Fans in Australia? I wonder if there are any Tasmanian fans. Tasmania seems so isolated. Hahaha
Re: AKB Fans in Australia? Well I live 5 mins away from Hobart Airport Tasmanian AKB fan, reporting for duty! Although I usually just "stalk" this thread. XD I think I posted here waaayyy back XD I know of at least three other people who like AKB here in Hobart, but there could be more or less up north XD.
Re: AKB Fans in Australia? Hi everyone! [hi] I only recently discovered this thread thanks to Mayuyu-fan, so glad to see that there are this many S48 fans from Australia! I ventured into the 48 fandom during high school when I was ~14 y/o. It took awhile for me to 'like' them because, at the time, I was a huge H!P fan so I was reluctant to give them a chance - thankfully I did! Anyway, I have been a fan ever since but only recently decided to sign up to this site because I was always worried about not having the time to do so in the past. I'm living in Townsville, QLD, at the moment for university - I might be the only one on this thread from here, haha, it's so isolated from everything... but then again, if AKB48 ever decide to head over again, I *might* be lucky! Look forward to talking with everyone!
Re: AKB Fans in Australia? I'm pretty sure there are some Queensland fans, i think it was MidoriHime and Miichan Oshi but then again I'm not too sure There's quite a few fans here and there around Australia. I'm sure you can arrange some AKB meetups like we do in Sydney.
Re: AKB Fans in Australia? ^ So lucky really lucky my house isn't that far from the airport but looks like i missed her lol wish i could see her
Re: AKB Fans in Australia? Wow that is dedication, considering that Parking at Syd airport costs an arm and a leg........ Even a return train ticket costs 34.50........... (I have no idea why Im ranting about parking costs......) Anyways it was all worth it in the end I suppose?
Re: AKB Fans in Australia? Definitely worth it I don't really put a price on such experiences, if anything the only difficult thing was getting to the airport before 7am!
Re: AKB Fans in Australia? ^ What a win! Well done, on the dedication too Another article from Victoria's own The Age... http://www.theage.com.au/entertainm...s-the-future-of-pop-music-20130705-2pgid.html The article only recently came out, but I find it interesting, given the choice of Seifuku no Mannequin as the keynote featured song (notwithstanding the total coolness of it) and Nogizaka with a large chunk of the article content, rather than something more representative from AKB, like Heavy Rotation (which, by all accounts, probably would have just invited flames, but still, they could have picked River or something)
Re: AKB Fans in Australia? Hi there! As Mayuyu-fan said, I'm from QLD too! I'm on the Sunshine Coast though~ (Thats close enough, right, bakaouji? ) And congrats on meeting Acchan! Nice dedication there! I read that article the other day, totally didn't realise it was Australian! Did anyone get Tokyo Dome tickets? I was thinking of making a meet up so thought I'd ask here.
Re: AKB Fans in Australia? Thanks! A little more on Acchan in Australia: turns out she didn't just visit Tasmania, she actually went to Queensland first. The official page for her documentary has stories and a photo gallery to promote the upcoming show. In Queensland she visited Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary, Ipswich, Redland and Lamington National Park. In Tasmania she went to Trowunna Wildlife Park, Barney and Cradle Mountain.
Re: AKB Fans in Australia? Ahh, Currumbin isn't too far away from me... My mum probably would have liked to see her lol. Next time ;p
Re: AKB Fans in Australia? Wait are koalas gonna die out or something? Is that what her doco is about?
