    1. Keyakizaka46's success
Hands down the biggest debut success of a 48(6)-group, Sai-Majo was impactful enough to push Keyaki into Kouhaku. Hard to believe the progress/maturation of Keyaki over this year. I can hardly put it into words, but the group is too successful to ignore. Equally as important, this sets the precedent for the possible expansion of the 46-world.
    2. Shimazaki Haruka's graduation
The period between the announcement and graduation was quite brief (maybe it just seems that way compared to TakaMina's), but nevertheless, this is an important event in AKB's history. Paruru's graduation is easily the most important one of the year mainly because it means that we'll see new center candidates and a new management next-gen ace, as Paruru indeed held that position.
    3. NGT48 Debut
What can I say, a new group, new members, new singles (soon). The debut of NGT should be included high on this list even though Single #1 hasn't been released yet.
    4. Watanabe Miyuki's graduation
Miyuki's graduation hurts NMB sales and opens up NMB's number two position.
    5. SNH48 and AKB China
Doesn't really affect the average fan of Japanese market. However, it was an important event and disappointing to fans across the world. A huge slap in the face to AKS.
    6. SHOWROOM teams up with 48/46-groups
The use of SHOWROOM was important in Keyaki auditions, and became useful in other activities. It gave rise to a couple of careers (Nakai Rika, Nomura Nao) and has definitely improved fan-member interactions. We've witnessed the SHOWROOM Live become a vital new part of the audition process (#29 tho :()
    7. New Generations (AKB 16th, SKE 8th, NMB 5th, HKT 4th, Nogizaka 3rd)
    8. Next Generation graduations

These graduations (especially Shu) definitely change the course that the 48-groups probably would've taken.
    9. AKB48 Next-Gen Senbatsu rankings
    10. Sashihara Rino's record-breaking victory
