Note: this ranking takes into account not only the appearance but how convincing they effectively are as an ikemen, in terms of behavior and harem size

    1. Kinoshita Momoka (if the talk at Team M's Bounenkai was true, she might be the only member to whom multiple girls confessed their love ...and quit the group out of shock when she rejected them. Really can't top this one)
    2. Okada Nana
    3. Miyazawa Sae
    4. Mitsumune Kaoru
    5. Iwata Karen
Below this point are members who are often misunderstood as ikemen idols, but are actually girly at heart despite their boyish appearance, hence the low ranking
    6. Nakanishi Yuka
    7. Otaki Yuria
    8. Tanigawa Airi

    ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Before we had Momoka and Naachan, there was the original Ikemen Idol in Miyazawa Sae. So it's no surprised that she is the Center for The Ikemen Senbatsu. As I mentioned, Sae is the Original Ikemen Idol because she was always describe as boyish (which she reflected in her image) and it was something she always showed throughout her time in the 48Groups (2006-2016). Pretty much without her, we wouldn't have the term Ikemen Idol.

As Sae graduated in 2016, The role of top Ikemen Idol has been passed on to Kinoshita Momoka of NMB48 Team M (who got the 2nd spot). Like Sae, Momoka has the Ikemen Idol thing to go along with her Crazy Personality (Or as I call her "Crazy Lady" lol). Just look at her Wardrobe for her Coming of Age this past year. A Very Ikemen look.

Well that was the 4th Senbatsu List, Next Senbatsu List will be The Model Senbatsu (Coming in July). Anyways, time to began Episode 141 Voting.

Biggest Risks Taken by Management that Paid Off

    1) changing the winning prize of Janken from AKB single to solo single in 2014 (keep their million streak alive)
    2) Ditching Defstar to King records
    3) putting Jurina on Oogoe Diamond as wake-up call for AKB48
4 ) firing the whole 8th gen to make a statement (brainwash the new members to work hard...hard work paid off [hehe])
    5) AKI-P team up with Sony to launch Nogizaka46 in 2011 and label them as official rival #NiceTrick
    6) launching Keyakizaka46 in 2015 and rename Toriizaka46 to Keyakizaka46
    7) using showroom as a platform for self-promotion in 2016
    8) adding voting ballet in summer single
    9) forming Team 4 version 2.0
    10) launched so many akb48 subunits(No3b, French Kiss, Not Yet, Watar7....etc) at their peak of popularity to maximize their profit

Which management are you referring to? Because people are already referring to Nogizaka and Keyakizaka being created (Sony management) and creation of sub-units (created by agencies not AKS).

    In terms of risk-to-gain ratio

    1. Having the balls to pull through the first two or so years of AKB's life despite making no profit and being (by Akimoto's own admission) constantly in the red, to the point of lacking even the money necessary to pay all of the staff. Anyone else would've deemed the project a failure and killed it then and there
    2. Going ahead with the plan of creating overseas sister groups, in spite of all skeptics saying that the concept of idols as it is couldn't work outside of Japan. Agreeing to start the first overseas group in Indonesia, despite all concerns and preconceptions a foreigner might hold regarding Islamic countries
    3. Not firing Sashihara straight away
    4. Deliberately splitting the market for no reason whatsoever by creating the Sakamichi groups
    5. Creating NMB, according to interviews Akimoto was constantly discouraged from working on a Kansai-based group because the region was long regarded as a "barren land for idols"
    6. Embarking on a high budget project like AKB0048, when idol shows had always been known to be dirt cheap and with low production values. Starting a turf war between idol wotas and aniotas while in the process.
    7. Making Jurina the center of Oogoe Diamond, disregarding the structure of AKB up until that point
    8. Trusting the members enough to let them use Showroom unsupervised, or nearly so. Doing the same with simple group auditionees.
    9. Accepting Mariko without a formal audition
    10. The concept of Janken
