I can't see any big venue like stadiums welcoming them in western countries, I think they are too big.
    Prestigious ones sounds better:

    1. Paris - L'olympia
    2. London - Barbican theater
    3. New York - Winter garden theater

Sorry, my knwledge is too limited for more.

Have to agree about that. AKB48 may be popular in its home country of Japan, but may not be so elsewhere around the world. American and European societies may be so sensitive, and I believe not a lot of people would be seeing AKB48 in its current configuration had they perform overseas...

But maybe the Madison Square Garden may work. Though that's still doubtful - to be honest, maybe smaller venues and international Japanese culture events (e.g. Sakura-Con here in Seattle, anime expos around the world, etc.) would make more sense than, say, Wembley or NFL stadium.

I think the way we were supposed to vote for this particular topic was if we were looking at this from an idealistic perspective. YES, there's a less than .00001% chance that AKB will ever perform in a stadium-sized venue in a Western country, and YES, Western societies still look down on Japanese idols in a way that prevents them from becoming mainstream here (or at least get a spike in popularity like PSY did). However, I don't think @ForrestFuller would bring up this topic if he wanted us to be realistic in the first place. (Right, Forrest?)

So yes, it's a far stretch to imagine AKB ever being popular in our part of the world as Taylor Swift, Adele, etc. But it doesn't hurt to dream big anyways, even as impossible as it may seem. :)

I've just been watching a documentary on NHK World about Perfume which was mostly a compilation of excerpts from their tour DVDs. It included footage from their 2013 London show at the Shepherds Bush Empire which has a capacity of 2000 and it appeared to be very full. I think that AKB48 could easily fill venues of this size in London but, yes, realistically arenas and stadiums would be way too big.

I'd love it if they could fill somewhere big like the O2 Arena, the atmosphere would be tremendous, but I can't see it happening, nor really can I see them ever holding any sort of 'proper' concert in the UK. The best I think I could hope for is for a selection of somewhat less well-known members, maybe 8-12 of them (perhaps with Hirari as center for her English-language MC ability) appearing at the annual Hyper Japan festival in London.

Excatly, pretty much was the reason I came up with this topic. Even though we know there is like 0.000001% of ever performing in a stadium/arena sized venue in a western country (like you mentioned, Nothing wrong with dreaming about it lol :). Just like a future list (for 2016) "Music Acts you would like to see Collab with the 48/46G" and will be spilt into 3 parts (Japan, South Korea, World). Which of course world being worldwide acts (Like Taylor Swift and Adele).

Well I did do a Sexiest Body list back in October 2014 (Won be Kojiharu btw).

Nope, But that is a good one (Also thought of another one but I'm trying to figure how i'd what to call it).

Stage48 Countdown: Episode 66 (Venues you would love to see the 48/46Gs Play in)

Welcome everybody to Episode 66 of Stage48 Countdown, I'm Forrest Fuller. On Today's Episode, we will be counting down the top 10 Venues you would love to see the 48/46Gs Play in. Before we began, let's show the 5 venues that were just shy of making the countdown. Your Honorable Mentions, here they are.

    Honorable Mentions
    11) Beijing National Stadium / Bird's Nest (Beijing, China) (15 Points)
    12) Philippine Arena (Bulacan, Phillipines) (14 Points)
    13) Manchester Arena (Manchester, England) (13 Points)
    14) AccorHotels Arena (Paris, France) (11 Points)
    15) CenturyLink Field , Seattle, Washington (10 Points)

    Now onto the countdown.

    10) Royal Albert Hall (London, England) (16 Points)
    9) Allianz Arena (Munich, Germany) (17 Points)
    8) Olympic Stadium (London, England) (18 Points)
    7) San Siro Stadium (Milan, Italy) (19 Points)
    6) Staples Center (Los Angeles, California) (30 Points)
    5) Stade de France (Paris, France) (32 Points)
    4) Sydney Opera House (Australia) (33 Points)
    3) Madison Square Garden (New York City) (50 Points)
    2) O2 Arena (London, England) (61 Points)
    1) Wembley Stadium (London, England) (73 Points)

    ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Wembley Stadium takes the top spot and gotta say. I wouldn't mind seeing a concert at such a historic stadium. Even though it's a newer version of the stadium. The History is still there (imo). London, England takes the top two spots as O2 Arena is #2 and imo, a place I would LOVE to see a 48/46G Concert (MSG) is #3. Anyways, time for Episode 67 Voting
