    STAGE48 Countdown
Episode 9: Best Homegrown Members of all Time: SKE48

Welcome everybody to episode 9 of Stage 48 Countdown. I'm Forrest Fuller, today we will continue our series of the homegrown members. This time we go to SKE48. The First Sister Group of AKB48. Anyways, let's get to the countdown shall we. First Up, The Honorable Mentions. Here are the 5 girls who were just shy of making the countdown.

    11) Manatsu Mukaida (52 Pts)
    12) Mieko Sato (51 Pts)
    13) Airi Furukawa (49 Pts)
    14) Sawako Hata (48 Pts)
    15) Mizuki Kuwabara (34 Pts)

Now let's get to the countdown shall we.

    10) Masana Oya (61 Pts)
    In at #10 is a SKE48 1st Gen Team S Lifer. It's Masana Oya

Like I said, Masana Oya is a 1st Gen member of SKE48 and is one of the Original Team S Members. Debuting at 17 Years Old she was one of the big members of the group. While not as big as Jurina and Rena, she was there representing Team S for SKE48.

Apart of 14 of the 16 Singles for SKE48. She only missed Aozora Katamoi and Gomen ne, Summer (Only because they had a low member senbatsu) If it wasn't for that. She would have been in all 16 Singles.

Pretty Popular member as well as she has ranked in the Top 30 in the 2nd (24), 3rd (30), 4th (27), 5th, (29), and 6th (30). More in likely she will be staying there until she graduates.

Also Often called a "lolicon" because she gushes about the cuteness of the younger members. She often tries to hug them and take pictures with them. To prevent being called a lolicon, she originally pretended to not find Kimoto Kanon cute. However, she has since begun "targeting" Ego Yuna and does not seem to protest to being called a lolicon as much.

    9) Rikako Hirata (64 Pts)
In at #9 is a Team S Original Member who has already graduated. It's Rikako Hirata.

Rikako was an Original Member of SKE48 and was pretty old when she debuted. At 19 Years Old, it's an age that usually doesn't work well for you when you debut as an Idol. But she was able to have 4 good years in SKE48. Maybe not the most popular member. But still.

Only making two singles. Tsuyokimono Yo and Banzai Venus were the songs that Rikako Hirata made and I'm sure she was happy that she at least made some singles before she graduated in October of 2012.

    8) Kaori Matsumura (65 Pts)
#8 is our resident Kenkyuusei Lifer. It's Kaori Matsumura

Apart of the Legendary SKE48 3rd Generation (You know who the members were), She and them debuted in November 2009 and as they first start as Kenkyuuseis before getting promoted to a team. Kaotan deciced to stay a Kenkyuusei for her time in SKE48 for some reason (why is that?, hopefully somebody explains that to me.)

She did that and it has worked well for her. Her popularity skyrocketed really got started in 2012, with her #34 ranking, In 2013 she jumped 10 spots to 24. And just this year she got her very first center as she was ranked #17 which is good enough for the UG center spot. Next Year she has a shot at the Senbatsu. That would be pretty good for the Lifetime Kenkyuusei Member.

Another thing she is known for is producing videos and have a camcorder with her almost everywhere. When you see Kaotan, you will see her camcorder.

One more thing about Kaotan. In February 2014. She was named AKB48 Group Kenkyuusei Captain. Not Bad at all.

    7) Akari Suda (67 Pts)
Coming in at #7 is the girl who crashed the party of the SSK and is now the #3 member of SKE48. It's Akari Suda

Another member of the legendary 3rd Gen. Akari Suda debuting in November 2009. She didn't make a single until one Year later with 1! 2! 3! 4! YOROSHIKU along with 3 other members (Airi, Kanon, and Erika Y.). She has been a senbatsu member since that day.

While she has been a pretty good member for SKE48. She has been making noises in the Senbatsu Election. She ranked in the 3rd Election (2011) #36, 4th Election (2012) #29. In 2013 she crashed the party of the SSK as it's usually been Jurina and Rena that make Senbatsu let alone Senbatsu Elections. 2013 she made the Senbatsu for Koi Suru Fortune Cookie. Not to be outdone. In 2014 she broke the last member in the senbatsu for the election curse as she made the top 10 at #10.

Who knows how fare Dasu can make it up in the election? The Sky is the limit for her.

A Charming and Charismatic Person (especially at handshake events). It's easy to see why she is a popular and awesome member. Also Is able to limbo (bend backwards) under a 35cm high horizontal bar for a television competition, beating two Olympic gymnasts who were participating. She later broke her own record by going under a 28cm (11 inch) bar. All this thanks to her abnormally soft spinal discs and flexible hip joints, which only around 0.5% of the world's population have. She could probably do the matrix move with ease.

    6) Yuria Kizaki (80 Pts)
In at #6 is a girl who is now making a mark in AKB48 with Team 4. It's Yuria Kizaki.

Yuria Kizaki is yet another member of the SKE48 3rd Generation. They are indeed Legendary. That started in November 2009. Unlike Suda, Yuria's first SKE48 Single was Gomen ne, Summer (which was with only 7 people).
was only a Kenkyuusei when she debuted on a single.

Become a Full Time Senbatsu Member after debuting. Her last single was Mirai to Wa? in 2014 as she was moved to AKB48's Team 4. Some what of a mixed reaction to it as some thought she should have stayed in SKE48. Some thought that Team 4 wasn't the right team for her. and some liked it.

One of the SKE48 Members in Majisuka Gakuen 3. She played the character Peace. Before that she was on Mousou Deka! which featured other SKE48 Members.

Even though she isn't in SKE48. We will always remember that she was a good part of the group and she will show that in AKB48. No matter what team she is on.

    5) Yuka Nakanishi (101 Pts)
#5 is a girl who actually didn't star in SKE48. But she is an original and debuted with them. She is known for being a SKE48 Member rather then a AKB48 member. It's Yuka Nakanishi

Yuka Nakanishi was a girl who didn't actually start with SKE48. She was an AKB48 4th Generation Kenkyuusei until August 23rd 2008 when she was moved to SKE48. That time SKE48 was just starting as the girls of SKE48 were unknown. She was Unknown as well as she was on no singles that was on either side. The only thing she was doing in AKB48 was performing as a backup dancer in B3 (Junjou Shugi) and K4 (Gomen ne Jewel), as well as occasionally acting as Urano Kazumi's understudy. So her moving to SKE48 was a right move.

She is now known as an SKE48 and Team S Original. While maybe not the most popular member, she was pretty well loved and has alot of oshis. They did proved that when they ranked her #63 in 2012 and #64 in 2013.

    4) Kumi Yagami (148 Pts)
The #4 ranked girl is a full time senbatsu member and was in the first 11 singles. It's Yagami Kumi.

Apart of the original Team S and is a 1st Gen member. She was a full time senbatsu member from the start of it. Being in the first 11 singles of SKE48 before graduating in April of 2013. She was one of the most popular members of SKE48.

She ranked twice in the election. #38 in 2010 and #28 in 2012. Didn't take part in the election in 2013 giving that she had graduated all ready lol.

Was a Seiyuu on AKB0048. Her Character was Sonata Shinonmoe. While being with a Seiyuu, she was apart of the Seiyuus sub Unit No Name as they did the opening and ending songs for AKB0048. Overall, she did well in SKE48 and I'm sure people won't ever forget her.

    3) Akane Takayanagi (172 Pts)
At #3 is a Team KII original and Lifer. It's Akane Takayanagi.

Churi is a member of the SKE48 2nd Generation who debuted in March of 2009 and was a member of the Original Team KII. While she didn't make senbatsu for the first single. She did make it for the single. After that, she was a full time senbatsu member.

A Top 5 member of SKE48 you can say. She has ranked in the undergirls in every election since she debuted in Senbatsus for SKE48. #35 in 2010, #23 in 2011, #24 in 2012, #23 in 2013, and #31 in 2014. She is the SKE48 Undergirl lol (even though she has never made an SKE48 Undergirls lol)

Going back to the Election. She said in 2011 Election that she wanted an Original Team KII stage for Team KII her speech. Directing it toward Aki-P. The Stage ended up being delayed ALOT (something we are used too). But it finally happened as Team KII 3rd Stage began on October 1st, 2011. 4 months after she asked for it.

While being in SKE48. In Feburary 2014, she ended up having a kennin with NMB48 Team BII and is now a senbatsu member over there as well.

Overall. She is one of the biggest members of SKE48 and she has done alot in SKE48.

    2) Jurina Matsui (236 Pts)
Coming in at #2 is the Ace of the whole group. It's Jurina Matsui.

Jurina Matsui is a Team S Lifer and a first generation SKE48 Member. Jurina became a star in an instant. She was only 11 years old when she debuted. She ended up being the ace of an idol group at only that age. Something you would never see in this world. Putting the hands of an idol group into an 11 year old.

But Jurina showed that she was ready and she became one hell of an Ace. Centering the first 15 singles of SKE48 (Some with Rena Matsui) she showed that SKE48 was up there with their big sisters in AKB48. Speaking of AKB48. She ended up centering an AKB48 single way before she ever centered an SKE48 Single. Oogoe Diamond was centered by her.

She was a full time AKB48 Senbatsu member even before she became a full time SKE48 Senbatsu Member. She became a AKB48 Kennin Member in 2012 when she joined the already star studded Team K.

Who knows what is in store for Jurina? She has done so much for both SKE48 and AKB48.

Up to the #1 Spot. Recap is above you :).

    1) Rena Matsui (245 Pts)
#1 is the mother of SKE48. It's Rena Matsui.

Rena Matsui is an Team S Original and SKE48 1st Generation. She was somebody who was also asked to lead SKE48. While Jurina was the Ace, She was the Center (along with Jurina).

WMatsui was the leaders of SKE48 and still our to this day. Even with girls starting to catch up to them (Suda for one). They are still the leaders of SKE48. While Jurina has Centered all of the songs. Rena has centered some SKE48 as well.

    The 3rd, 4th, 5th, 7th, 8th, 10th, 12th, 13th were also centered by Rena Matsui.

Like Jurina, Rena has also made a name for her same as an AKB48 Senbatsu Member. Even though she isn't a AKB48 member. She has made over 20 AKB48 Singles. Was an AKB48 Undergirl from September 2009 to May 2010 until she made the lineup for Heavy Rotation and was made a full senbatsu member with Beginner.

While people wonder wehter or not Jurina will still be an SKE48 member or not by the time Jurina Graduates (wondering that as well). Rena Matsui is an SKE48 Member thru and thru. Even though in February 2014 she became a Nogizaka46 Kennin Member. She is a SKE48 Member for life (until she graduates actually lol.)

Rena came into SKE48 an SKE48 Member and she will graduate an SKE48 Member.
Well that's our countdown. As Rena is my SKE48 Oshi. I love that she was #1 :D.

Anyways, onto Episode 10 and Part 3 of our countdown.

Like with AKB48 and SKE48. These are the girls who made NMB48 what it is today.

i would also like to mention yuihan, i know she wasn't an nmb member and she's no longer a part of nmb, but to be honest when yuihan was in nmb, it felt different. almost as if she belonged. her being in nmb actually made me notice her and stopped hating her (bc i used to strongly dislike her). i gues she can be my honorary mention, if that's allowed...

Sayaka is there because she is obviously the best member NMB has brought to the table, but she is not that high up in my sympathy level (she would be if she wouldnt be treated as Jesus's second coming and if she wouldnt be omnipresent).
Shu and Keicchi absent because i like the others better :)

I'm confused about these best homegrown members ? Are we supposed to just rank our favourite members? Or should we rank them based on how important we perceive them to be for the group?
