I think we're all frustrated Dutchie... No one is more frustrated than us wiki editors ourselves, who spend hours trying to make the pages look as nice as possible. Eventually we will reach a point where we have more members without profile pictures than with. Have any of the discord suggestions been worthwhile? Even if they require a lot of work, we can try it just once. Can you share them here? In the meantime I'll link the YouTube intros of the BokuAo girls' on their pages. I think it's better than nothing.
Likewise I'd be willing to help even if it requires a lot of work. I feel strongly that the Wiki should be an important and maybe unique source of information for international fans especially if (fingers crossed) the 48 and 46 groups start more overseas promotions such as Sakurazaka46's performance in Paris next month. I'd like to share a little story from my recent visit to Japan: Spoiler When I was in the Theater lobby on one of the occasions while I was there a man came over to me and started asking me questions in English about AKB48. It turned out that he was an American tourist from Dallas, TX who had stumbled across the Theater while exploring the Donki building and he presumably homed in on the only other 'gaijin' who he could see there. I spent a little time answering his questions such as how many members there are and the popularity of the group in Japan as well as how to get tickets for a show but in particular he'd spotted Mizumin's picture on the board and it seemed that he'd instantly 'fallen in love' with her lol. I told him about our Wiki and I showed him Mizumin's page but of course there was no photo of her which I felt was both sad and embarrassing.
The suggestions in the discord weren't worthwhile .... they were suggesting an almost complete overhaul of the forum which would easily take 3 full weeks of work if not longer
Yabuki Nako is now with Twin Planet http://stage48.net/wiki/index.php/Yabuki_Nako 2023.06.18 Notice of affiliation with Nako Yabuki We would like to inform you that Nako Yabuki has joined Twin Planet Co., Ltd. From now on, she will aim to be active in a wide range of fields, focusing on her acting business. https://twinplanet.co.jp/1355/ https://www.tp-e.jp/talent/yabukinako/ P.S. You can also read either of her two twitter accounts to see her own announcement. P.P.S. Thanks @Mana.
FYI, the Wiki Editors now have access to a spanner to throw in the works to indicated a Wiki task has been done, just like the Forum admins have. Would I have liked it to have a different (colour) icon, yup! but as long as we can't upload/change things this one will have to do (btw, wiki editors can use the 'rating' in the other threads of this sub forum (Announcements & News), but I would really like you not to do that)
Obvious based on what? You can't expect people to know who's friends with who out of all members. I'm happy I know everyone's names (in AKB at least, never mind the sister groups). I genuinely have no idea what you're talking about
I want to encourage Wiki Editors to use the new "done" rating. Taking my "Yabuki Nako is now with Twin Planet" post as an example, @Mana gave it an informative, which I saw when I checked my "ratings received." I then checked the wiki page and saw her new agency, then checked the history to see that Mana had made the changes. With the new system, Mana could have given the post a "done" and there would have been no reason for me to double check. P.S. I agree with @dutchie that the "done" should only be used in this thread.
But they're a well-known pairing in the fandom: Tokugawa. Ask @sscrla . https://twitter.com/48_RemiTokunaga/status/1666053354676682753 Nevermind. It wouldn't work anyway because it's still embedding an image.
Requesting changes to Macharin's wiki page http://stage48.net/wiki/index.php/Ma_Chia-Ling 1. Under section `History - 2023`, change the "No Travel, No Life" entry to past tense. 2. Under section `History - 2023`, add entry: 3. Under section `Media Appearances - Stage Plays`, add entry:
Akimoto Sayaka is no longer with Flave Entertainment http://stage48.net/wiki/index.php/Akimoto_Sayaka "Former AKB48 actress Sayaka Akimoto (Sayaka, 34) updated her Twitter on the 1st and reported that she had terminated her contract with her office at the end of June." https://hochi.news/articles/20230701-OHT1T51041.html?page=1 Kitagawa Yuri may or may not have graduated from Nogizaka46 http://stage48.net/wiki/index.php/Kitagawa_Yuri Mantan web says she has, but she is still on official site, which is where you can find the blog post mentioned in the article. Yuri Kitagawa of the idol group " Nogizaka46 " graduated from the group on June 30th. Just leaving a note here that I've removed the '#REDIRECT [[Ogawara Noboru]]' from the Okawara Noboru page, and swapped them around. I've done this because the guy has a twitter and instagram page where it's romanized with a K: https://twitter.com/noboru_okawara https://www.instagram.com/noboruokawara/
I've just joined Threads and the only 48-related accounts I've found so far are for Tomochin and Kojiharu/NyanNyan. As a sort of experiment I've added links to their Threads accounts on their respective Wiki pages. If I open their Wiki pages (in Chrome) on my phone which has the Threads app installed and click on their links it does seem to correctly go straight to their accounts on the app. On my laptop when I click on their links (again in Chrome) it does open their Threads accounts in a new browser tab, however it only shows partial stuff but otherwise it at least correctly displays some info. How does everyone feel about adding new Threads accounts links when they appear? (EDIT: STU48 has opened an official Threads account which I've added to the External Links on the group's main Wiki page.)
Thanks, I've added those as well as the account for ex-NGT48 member Ogino Yuka. The quickest way to enter Threads URLs on the Wiki when using a laptop/PC seems to be to copy and paste the person's Instagram address and replace 'instagram.com/' with 'threads.net/@', e.g. 'https: //www.instagram.com/haruka_kodama919/' is edited to become 'https: //www.threads.net/@haruka_kodama919/'.
That's a good way to test for existence. Paruru just posted on instastories. She doesn't have any threads yet, but the account exists. https://www.threads.net/@paruuuuuru https://www.threads.net/@rie_kitahara_3
@sscrla I've added those two to their respective Wiki pages as well as one for Sasshi which I've found (and posted in her thread): https://www.threads.net/@345insta As for noting further new accounts, I think they should certainly be mentioned in each respective members' thread but should they be recorded here to ensure they're added to Wiki pages? However we don't already do that for other new SNS accounts.
