But to be in clearer details from that BBC report , most of the STU major cities are doing fairly okay and recovering. (If the rain had continued a day more then it's critical disaster for everyone really, heavy raining for a week non-stop is something you call abnormal weather patterns...)

But their neighboring towns and smaller villages are pretty much heavily damaged and some are even isolated from supply routes at the moment. (Like some of the towns that were introduced in the main Setouchi area tourism STU program Setorip are listed as heavy flooding affected areas. So I am worried if the program will also have to be postponed for some time...Setolike and SetoChare at some extent as well)

I just can't believe how people can even go criticizing the management even at times like this when they are the victims who are suffering the most. I believe no one in the management would ever want to pull the delay option if necessary, and to do this the second time means the situations are absolutely dreadful for them which forced them to make this unfortunate decision.

Right now the affected areas are free from rainfall but now they are facing heat strikes and as the mountain grounds are pounded very soft so there are still high possibility of landslides. So it's pretty tough for relief teams to operate rescue missions and maintain supply routes. And don't forget after this there are tons of stuff to be rebuilt too.

The problem is that it's not like they have no work to do on the single within the next two months. They need to get photoshoots, recordings and everything printed and ready for the single and these are physical editions too. Staff, the girls, or external companies involved may have been affected by what's happened. Even if not it's better to be safe than sorry. Not to mention their prime market is under however many metres of water ATM and it would be financially ideal to release after all this is well and truly done and dusted.

I will put in my 2 cents, while I understand while things are in a disarray, not everything is broken. Law and order is kinda intact and businesses need to restart after this. So as long as the release is not cancelled, just postponed, then there is work for the girls and all the organisations in the whole single release eco system. If they can make use of local organisations in the precurement process for the release, so at the single's release, it will be a good recovery story and the local community benefits.

 

Huh? Tell me how rushed the STU debut single production was then? It was delayed too remember?

I am just sceptical that that is the real reason when the release is almost two months away, precisely because they already delayed the first single for no apparent reason (lack of a boat? that even hasn't changed a year later).
