Wasn't it from before she auditioned? If it was from before and she ended the relationship I don't see the problem (there were rumors Saito Fuyuka had a boyfriend before she joined Keyakizaka but she is doing fine).

If it was from like a few weeks ago though there is a problem.

I guess being the "sister-of-X" is a bit more dangerous. Fans can find you by association and this stuff is easier to uncover.

I have a really huge spot soft spot for Sono from HKT 4th gen because of something like this. There was this picture of her just siting on floor eating a piece a cake that really got to me. She is just a normal 15 year old girl with a normal life. Whether she kept that relationship is neither here nor there, but because she wants to be an entertainer for people she has to give on that life, something I am really grateful for.

 

no wonder... I have a feeling that pro showroomers were accepted mostly for participation in SSK -_-;

Yes, those were leaked shortly after people learned she was participating, along her FB, Twitter accounts, etc. That's why some were surprised she was chosen, considering the images aren't that old and she might still be in a relationship.

Just as the leaked PR flyer mentioned. Now the question is, who will dare participate. For example, if number XX decides to sign up for the event, does that mean she'll not be dropped from the final selection until the election? Does that mean the final selection won't be announced until after the election?

 

There is no final selection. It's just a matter of checking no one still is in a contract or anything. These are the girls, they just want more time to make sure no one broke the rules.

 

Question stands, what if someone applies and then doesn't appear in the event because something happened? I'm guessing they all will participate (aka, they won't have to propose candidacies like the full members, but they will all compulsively participate, to prevent something awkward from happening).

They were announced in April 6th and pushed into the election just like that. They don't do it expecting anyone to rank, but to promote the girls.

If something happens after they apply, they just rescind their participation. It wouldn't be the first time.
