I’ve purchased a ticket for the Super Girls online talk event next Sunday! I have one ticket for Yumeri, which according to the event info means one minute of time. I’m a new fan who just got into Suoer Girls a month ago. I’ve been totally hooked on their music though, and Yumeri and Nazuna both stand out to me as oshis. Sadly Nazuna was all sold out. But if the talk event goes well I will definitely purchase tickets for her next time! Yumeri seems like a hardworking and smart girl, and she’s so cute. I listened to her segment on NMB’s Kojikarin radio and she seemed more knowledgeable/prepared than Karin at some moments
The online talk event went great! It seems the members all wore Santa costumes, but I was so nervous I could barely acknowledge Yumeri's. First, the talk was done through Zoom. Everyone with a ticket was let into a waiting room, and the staff person let people into the call with Yumeri one by one. Sounds good in theory... But in practice, no one knew how far they were in line! The staff dropped some updates, such as "We are now doing number 18 and beyond" "We are now doing number 27 and beyond". But they stopped updating at number 40. This wasn't helpful at all to me at number 59! I was let into the call so suddenly, I didn't even realize I had been connected with Yumeri. I thought I would first be connected with a staff member who would scan my ticket (which is what the website said would happen). But it went right to Yumeri! The system could definitely use some improvement. Now on to Yumeri: First of all she's SO cute! And small! She was very excited to see me (I'm a white female, so I'm sure I stand out a bit ) and asked where I'm from. I told her, then told her I'm a new fan who got into Super Girls this past October after watching the Tokimeki High Range MV. She was like "ah, natsukashii!". (Technically I got into Super Girls from listening to Tokimeki High Range on Spotify, but I watched the MV quickly after.) I told her that Super Girls songs cheer me up and that I'd definitely come back ;^; Later I posted about it on Twitter (in Japanese) and left a comment on her tweet that thanked everybody for coming. And she "liked" my comment! In my ten years of following idols, this was the first time I've received a "like" on twitter And it seems she doesn't "like" everyone's comments, so I was really feeling special! (Edit: it seems that she “unliked” my reply about a week later.... I wonder why ) All in all it was a great experience. I would definitely stay up until 2 am to do it again. Next time I'd also like to meet Takeuchi Nanami, I've been watching her Showrooms and she seems like a nice kid!
