she's been steadily increasing her sales and popularity ever since her ambivalent center. it really makes me wonder why management doesn't give her more activities...some people suggested mon wants to take it easy but that doesn't make sense to me. she was determined during the 8th single campaign when she volunteered to do the prayer for the group and now she's even getting popular...why give up now?
i've certainly been worried about her lack of updates and absence in hs events but i'm trying to not overthink it and just enjoy her presence.

 

Sometime is not about "giving up", sometime is just one's personality. She may just thought about it and decided that fight for the center is not that important when she's already one of the relevant members of keyaki and rising more in public eyes.
Since Mon is another one of those who had to go through worst-fan-beahviours with the guy that kept following her and Oda, that experience may made her think more about the joy of being a recognized idol.
Just an hypothesis, nothing more.
I would love to see her more and even center, but honestly, if I was keyaki mngmnt I would have sent her to every single cooking show in Japan lol so my strategy would have been very basic

 

i wasn't referring to the center position, i was talking about the overall lack of promotion when it comes to mon. when a girl's popularity is on the rise the smart thing to do is to push her, but that's not happening with her.
i would like to see her in a cooking show too, someone suggested she could do a collaboration like the techi and hirai ken one. that would be amazing to watch.

 

Mon has been excused from Sunday's handshake event for health reasons. That's all I know. She's missed a number of handshakes before, so it's probably nothing special. Maybe the health reason is memory of "worst-fan-behaviour" (to quote @Dill above).

i remember the last reports from her individual handshake mentioned how sad and unresponsive she looked, these absences might have more to do with her mental health than her physical one.
it was nice to see a japanese mon fan tweeting that it was sad that she couldn't meet her oshi but she was okay with it as long as mon was fine.
i feel the same, i just hope she's happy.

Considering the lack of comments on Suzumon's thread compared to other members i assumed she wasn't a widely popular member, but seeing so many people upset over her removal from senbatsu has shown me that she has a lot of supporters which makes me really happy. I don't know if it was this announcement that has made her less enthusiastic on keyakake or if it's something else, but i hope she continues to be herself and shine through her talent without giving up!

Anybody else out there has heard/read some rumors about a possible Mon PB?

 

The rumors are bc she was absent from the Laguna festival. Apparently she also didn't send a monthly greeting. This + her not making it into senbatsu is making me a bit worried tbh.

No video message in Oct (delayed to late Oct for members due to 9th single shooting) and Nov (yesterday from members).

 

she said she had no desire to have a pb in an interview this year, do us all a favour and stop spreading false rumors and misinformation for once

 

I agree with @risanen. Mon said before that she didn't want to shoot a pb.
Right now, I'm really worried for all her absences.
