Takayanagi Akane (Churi) / 2nd Generation

Yeah there's something to be said for the official terminology of the event. It makes me a little nervous though, considering the similarity of other events, that this one might be special because she plans to drop the s-word.

 

Thanks to this helpful tweet we get to know what happened during the first half of the fan meeting.

• Declared her candidacy for next year's ssk
• Won't announce graduation during her seitansai
• Aiming to re-enter senbatsu
• Wants SKE to become the most represented group at ssk and wants at least 5 SKE members in senbatsu
• She'll sing girls song(s?) for her solo concert event
• She won't sing any SKE songs
• You'll get a hint as to what song it'll be when merchandise is on sale
• New website announced for ordering goods, TBA

As for the second half, she streamed some of the event. As you can see she played some games.
(I had a dream she was streaming and I woke up suddenly and caught the bingo part onward)

So I suppose if you were expecting her to announce a little something else you were "disappointed."

I've never bought votes but I think I will contribute next year.

That's too ambitious... it will be really hard for her to return to senbatsu in next year's SSK even if it's expanded to 20 spots. Even then, she will be passed over for the 50th single.

 

It comes with long interval time(6+ month in advance), so fans can start saving, if they aren't already.
There's another worry though on SSK resolution, but that's basically not on her behalf.

Anyway, glad to see your dream being realized. lol

Well that's a relief about not graduating soon. It's selfish but I don't ever want her to leave lol. K2 just wouldn't be the same.

Even if the SSK stuff is a longshot, I really respect her for wanting to stay to help SKE and everything she's already done. She often gets frustrated about their lack of strength and her own ability to help, going way back to her plea to Aki-p for a new stage, but she does her best for everyone. I think this is mostly about her sense of duty and love for SKE, not a self-serving desire.

From the other halloween themes, I'm going with gothic style similar to Halloween Night.

There's some ninja themes there too. Ninja cosplay confirmed lol

edit- Might as well try to guess some songs based on that design. I don't know much about Kyary Pamyu Pamyu but some songs that match are: Candy Candy, Fashion Monster, PonPonPon, Ninja Re Bang Bang... maybe someone knows more about her music for other guesses.

Other wild guesses: Otsuka Ai - Chu-Lip, Sakuranbo (Avex artist, Ai=love and there's a big "LOVE" in Churi's design - a stretch, I know, but I love Otsuka Ai lol) Tokyo Girls' Style - Never Ever (Avex idol group song used in Fairy Tail anime - Churi loves Fairy Tail)

 

We'll have to find out then, she's performing in the evening concert of today's concert sets.

 

So it was Fashion Monster, Ninja Re Bang Bang, and Tsukematsukeru. All Kyary Pamyu Pamyu covers. I guess she did full songs then, more or less, I was thinking she might do shorter versions to fit in more songs. (throwing Otsuka Ai in there was really just wishful thinking on my part lol)

This is rather late news but due to hectic times I am slow to translate stuff recently.

Churi will be appearing in a new drama, Meieki 1-1-1, ~ A place that links happiness and people (名駅1丁目1番1号~人と、幸せを、つなぐ場所~)

Our saviour Kaotan uploaded videos of the backstage. Here is the evening performance of the first day, which Churi performed in.
She leads them off with instructions and some motivational words, though a lot seems to have been cut out. It seems short compared to Suda's speech in the other video.
You can then see a glimpse of the Fashion Monster intro, and she talks with Kaotan later in the video, expressing that she wanted to provide quality with her performance.

I'm never able to catch SR live but I watched the whole ChuriJuri one last night. 2 hours of just cooking, eating, and small talk mostly, but it's somehow enjoyable to me watching idols do normal stuff like normal people. I prefer SR shows like that over just talking directly to fans the whole time (of course I'm biased because I usually can't be there live to talk, or type decent Japanese without a translator anyway ).
