I'm actually amazed at Meru's performance on AKBingo (watch it in the AKBingo thread, the latest episode features a Hatsukoi Butterfly performance!) She's very cute and has very good camera presence.

Plus the bangs were a good idea, let's face it.

ponytail makes her more cuter , plus her expression and the way she's dance in the song, makes the PV much better and enjoyable (to me atleast) not like someone who only have a good looks, she has a nice personality, charm and charisma
at the age of 12, I think Meru has done a fairly good job as a center

If they do things like they did to Team-K, M & KII They will make KIII from the second generation & Meru as the ace of that team, but you will never know what Aki-P is thinking, as he did for the first time in the 48 groups, insert a center from the 2nd gen., he might promote Meru to Team-H.

I think the 1st gen. fans specially Kodama Haruka's fans might have an uneasy feeling toward her, what reminded me of when Matsui Jurina given a center position in "Oogoe Diamond" instead of Maeda Atsuko, Aki-P might want to repeat the history.

agree with you , many people don't like meru because she take over the center position on hatsukoi butterfly
especially sakura , haruppi and natsu oshi
but we have to to accept the reality, meru has the potential [sealed]
just wait until HKT48 debut , who will be the center

I have to say, even though I was a bit skeptical about Meru suddenly being center for Hatsukoi Butterfly, after watching the PV I'm a lot better with it. She's SUPER cute and even though I'm a Sakura fan (and Lovetan, but I didn't expect her to be center, lol), I can see why Meru's getting a push~

I've been obsessed with this girl ever since hatsukoi butterfly PV premiered. She's so charming and a natural ace. She really shined for me in the latest LOD and I hope she keeps het position or at least senbatsu spot for the first single. I personally don't think she'll be put in H just bevause H is already loaded with frontgirls and Team KIII (which most of 2nd Gen will obviously be in) will need an ace and i don't think mgmt will want the trouble of finding a new one when they already have Meru (though Mio, Maichan, and Ueno are also options).

So... this little doll has me officially wrapped around her finger. The LOD's are what did it, the girl snaps. Crackles. And POPS on stage. Every time she tilts her head or does some cute little twirl of her fingers my heart flutters. She's officially part of my Oshi "Gakuen" now as you can see below . Gotta strong sense of forboding that my bank account is going to be doing a lot of crying behind this girl. I'm already hunting down photos/photosets, changed my mind about buying Eien Pressure just to support her being center in Hatsukoi Butterfly, and made up my mind to start saving up for the election next year (something I've NEVER thought about doing even for Tomochin). Ayeayeaye, what kind of spell does this girl have over me lol.
