Aki is holding a full mug of beer again... I cannot remember, but did she have a drinking scene in every episode? Aki-cha sure seems to love her booze.

Is true... for some reason height differences always seem to be visually irrelevant in wedding photos. Also... goddamn they make for one good looking couple-ru.

IMO much better than this one anyway.

Episode 9 spoilers...

Is it me or was like Aki... like really super hyper extra genki in this episode? And I think you can tell that they cut this show short because this episode was kinda all over the place. At least I got to see Mayuyu in a wedding dress though... and I am seriously gonna miss Aki... who is like an idealized version of Mayuyu... who is already like an idealized version of Watanabe Mayu. You kinda get spoiled getting to see Mayuyu acting as such a wonderful character like that... with perfect make-up and lighting in every scene week after week... gonna miss it for sure.

I've only just started episode one and I already know I'm gonna love this series.
haha this series is perfect for a book worm like me.

so far the character Mayu is playing reminds me of the one she did for Wonda X AKB short story.
She does adorkable good, I gotta say.

I'll come back later and post more of my thoughts as soon as I see a few more episodes.

 

Hedoko's Review of episode 1

[spoilers, duh]

before I gush about how much I loved the first episode I wanna get the crap out of the way. I'm noit sure what happened, but the show just felt too long. Almost like two episodes that had been smooched together. around twenty minutes in I started looking at it to see how much time was left and got a bit antsy. but I sure am glad I stuck around because the second half is where the first episode really got good.

turns out Mayu uses her connection and gets an event with a trans tv celeb who wrote her first book. the moment I saw it was a trans author I was like, "YAY, AKB knows we exist." well, it's not like there hasn't been other AKB Drama that had LGBT characters. I mean Majisuka gakuen (Gakuran played by Miyazawa Sae) had a trans male. but this felt realer some how. not sure how to further explain that.
I got major feels when they went into that room and Mayu started to explain those signs to show she had read the book.
and when she started talking about that old man from the sweet shop! I got hit by the feels train.
"Ally-san is Ally-san."

"Gurl, I guess you can get an autograph after all that."

Also Damn! I was not expecting that plot twist after Riko's dinner date ended like that. Can't wait to see how that goes.
