The 2016 donations thread (goal reached!)

Thanks, found it. Done. But I forgot to leave message. I think my stage48 mail different than my paypal mail. I am sending email with the stage48 name.

Just realised that my paypal email and Stage48 emails are different as well. What do I need to do so that I can get the "Stage48 Donor" applied to my profile?

 

If you did not put your Stage48 username to the PayPal donation message box, send @Mr Waffle a PM with the email address you used on PayPal so he can match it to your Stage48 account. That should do it.

Can you also send donations for next or do you have to wait till next year?

 

I missed this years so I've already donated in the hope that it's put towards next years but then it may get used for other ongoing maintenance costs. I'm happy either way as I'd be lost without Stage48 (and Wiki48)

 

I donated last year and never got my "Stage48 Donor" title on my avatar.

 

I never got mine either. It'd be nice to have before I donate this year.

 

I can add tags to anyone's name, that's not a problem. However, only @Mr Waffle has access to the Stage48 Paypal account so I can't actually check transaction IDs against anything. For the people who've stated they haven't gotten their tag yet after donating, I'm going to just take your word for it and add the tags now.

In the future, for anyone that donates and wants the donor tag, please upload a screenshot of the transaction to some sort of image site and PM me the link. You can probably make it private and only viewable to anyone who has the link, which would be me and I can add your tag manually without having to wait for Mr Waffle. I do want to apologize ahead of time for the extra hassle though as we really do appreciate your donations that keep this site running.

 

I question whether the link to this thread should be in the banner rotation still.

The threads title when you click through indicates that the target has been met which implies that no further donations are required. I imagine there will be a further donation drive this year at some point but that should link to a new 2017 thread.

I'd have thought that either
- If no further donations are required at the moment then the banner link to the 2016 thread should be removed.
- if donations are wanted at the moment then the banner should be changed to point at a new 2017 thread

To be honest most of the time I do find the banner loops on here to be a bit pointless anyway as it frequently has things which are quite out of date which makes things look bad as it appears the site is not being updated properly (this is both the pictorial one on the front page and the pink box one in the forums themselves)

If there is ever a way to donate via Credit or Debit Card, that'd be amazing since I don't have a PayPal but I would like to donate, this website deserves every support it can get.

 

Are you looking to do a 2017 donation drive any time soon? I feel I ought to donate as the forum and the wiki have been so helpful in me going full wota over the last month or so It's just a question of whether the donation would be useful at any time or if it would come in particularly handy when you need to pay the server bills (which presumably is in the next few months given the date on the original message in this thread).
