While Microsoft has the money acquire a major publisher like EA, we'll have to consider that EA is a really big company and sells a lot on the PlayStation platform. Being acquired by Microsoft will make their games exclusive to the Xbox systems, and will lose all that money they get from Sony.

NBA Live and NBA 2K are both licensed by the NBA. NBA 2K focused on licensing not just the current teams, but also all-time greats, while NBA Live also got the WNBA license (no WNBA mode though).

 

Does anyone here play Europa Universalis 4? I love this game even though I really have no idea how to play it!

 

I haven't played in a looooong time. But I have fond memories of this game and Crusader Kings 2.

Basically, in this game, you lead a nation, instead of a monarch like in Crusader Kings 2. In CK2, your end goal is really to keep your dynasty alive, so it doesn't matter if you're an emperor or a lowly count, as long as you have titles, you're in the game. In EUIV, the goal is keeping your nation intact, so it doesn't matter if your country suddenly has a revolution that puts communists in power, have a counter-revolution to restore the monarchy, or still another revolution for a democratically elected republican government all in the span of one year, the important thing is to keep the nation going.

 

Sounds both complicated and challenged...

I played lots of Hearts of Iron though.....EU4 and CK2 didn't interest me as much

But anyway, what I like most about these paradox games is that it has a lot of civilizations to choose from.

These strategy games really take time to get done and from what I'm realizing they want this game to be perfect, they no longer want to make mistakes like in Age of Empires 2 where they made a mistake in the architecture of Vietnamese civilization.

Hearts of Iron is cool, though I kinda prefer the earlier eras.

Oh yeah. I hope the time period covers the entirety of the Roman Empire (which truly fell after Constantinople was conquered by the Turks). Rome: Total War covers only a specific period, and Rome II only slightly more.

Do we need threads for Love Live & Bang Dream on this forum? I bet many people here like these franchises too and these are franchise that have animes, games, and the seiyuus are actually regularly releasing CDs too. ^^
