Today's Hiragana concert was simply amazing. The venue is quite small, compared to Nogi's dual stadiums lol.
But I actually enjoyed Hiragana's concert way better, the members were much closer to me, and I was actually on the 3rd floor lol. Nao Kosaka was on a moving trolley and she waved at me (or rather at my section lol). So happy haha. The members really interacted with the fans, and were way much closer to us fans, even for those on further seats.

Future Snack Mao operator and Kumi-chan are seriously tall compared to most of the members lol.
And Memi, Mirei, Sarina and Mei are so cuteeeeeee.

Concert started with Hiragana de koi shitai. And all my favourite songs like no war in the future, ima ni mite iro, mijuku and saizenretsu were performed. Encore started with Hiragana keyaki and ended with yakusoku no tamago. At the end of yakusoku no tamago, the members performed their group shout and then ran out from the venue lol.
How fitting with the theme of concert (some magical and fiction stuffs) and title of their 1st album!

Feels like Hiragana wanna break out from Kanji's shadow and I am very sold on their message lol.
The members seriously remind me of Nogi's 3rd gen (my favourite gen), I am very excited for them and their potential growth.
Hope the management has some good stuffs lining up for them in the future!

My only regret is that I didn't buy the last day concert.
Back then, I wasn't sure if I would actually like Hiragana lol, so I kept it conservative and just get one day.
If I can change time, I will surely get the last day concert ticket.

Hoping next year, there will be another Hiragana tour.
I will definitely try to attend again, it was really amazing.

 

Many thanks to @Edward900 for the report. Memi was really up for the Makuhari concerts, which are her final "revenge" for missing the Makuhari concert on their first tour, because of her broken wrist. On the album site there was a weird and wonderful video of her laughing and dancing and waving her arms around to show she was ready to extract that revenge. But it has been taken down from YouTube and the original tweet I found it in is also gone. In Message, Memi asked that people use the following call during Oide Natsu no Kyoukaisen, which she has said is her favorite song, possibly because of the "oide" ("come") refrain

"Bou-chan (i.e., Iguchi Mao), Kiku-chan (Kumi), Kyonko, Sarina, Toshi-chan, MeiMei, Manafi, oTake, Miipan, Kageyama, Ka-ki-za-ki"

(The "Kakizaki" is just for this call. In ordinary calls, she says being called "Memi-chan" is good.) A report on 5ch says that the audience's attempt to do the call fell flat at the first concert. Maybe at the second on Tuesday evening?

1st gen really loves making up stuff for fans to do. Ayaka and Kyoko sent that call around too. Besides being hard to memorize, the call was also sent on message the night before last. They just need time for it to get around. Fans tried to put it on twitter but that wasn't fast enough.

A stage play in August "Magia Record". A play based on the smartphone game. Part of the Madoka Magica franchise. 10 members will be in it but no further details.

Yeah Madoka Magica was awesome. The writer is very good. But I have not followed the various sequels/spin-offs.

Confused reactions to the announcement so far though. Anime fans tend to react poorly to stage plays. Gana fans have not heard of it or are only slightly familiar like me. The rare people familiar with both are obviously happy though. I'll wait until I see the cast and costumes before I decide how I feel about it. I'm excited so far though.

Btw, the latest Hiragana Show has been subbed in Bahasa by Sakamichistation (here check first link below for 720p, second link for "economic size")
And they put karaoke for the performances!! So I thought I could share it here

I really like most of the performances on Hiragana Shows.. Chinmoku, Soredemo Aruiteru, NO WAR, Eien no Hakusen, Hanbun no Kioku..

Can't wait for more Hiragana Shows with performances from Hashiridasu album (don't read it as "the album that start running")

 

I just re-watched this bungee special since both have been subbed now. I feel like it's required viewing for new Gana fans.

And here's some news I attempted to read. If anyone cares to correct me it would be much appreciated.

Mirei says, about 1 year ago, all the Gana members wrote the things they wanted accomplish in a notebook and gave it staff. Telling them they'd be happy if even a little bit of it came true. Mirei also said she wants to perform in the opening of the Tokyo Olympics. She believes it's possible since Akimoto is a member of the Olympic organizing committee executive board. Mirei hopes it will act as a foothold towards worldwide recognition.

The comment about the Tokyo Olympics is a dangerous one. Hirate said the same thing and was flamed online for it way back. However, Mirei will probably not get in trouble since Gana public recognition is still very low.

 

I've posted a subbed video of Memi's 23 June SHOWROOM over in her thread. I think it's an outstanding show, but I'm definitely biased, lol. I found myself smiling the whole time I was making the sub.


EDIT: There's a little clip here showing Nacho, Kiku-chan and Memi each doing Manamo's voice. None are great, but Memi's is better than I thought when I heard it in that video above: she at least uses the excessively respectful and old-fashioned de gozaimasu for "is," instead of the normal desu.
